My family member has not receive personal assistance for problems with substance abuse.
Group sessions are no different than AAA except with AAA you are able to express your feelings without being judged or criticized. My family member usually comes home feeling very discouraged.
At AAA they receive encouragement and the people there really wants to see you succeed. Life Journey's depends on repeat and continued business. Clients' success means lost revenue. Life Journey's issues financial penalties for being late, missed meetings and whatever else can be used to increase the amount of money you pay.
I feel my family member was doing very well at the AAA, but their attendance at Life Journey's was mandated by the court. And since attendance was mandated by the court, intimidation and threats are used by Life Journey's to keep people coming.
Unfortunately, the court gave my family member six weeks or until Life Journy's says they have completed the program. It has turned into almost six months and counting.
