Dr. Shawn was born in Clarksville and started his academic career by graduating from Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville. From there, Dr. Shawn attended Emory University in Atlanta, GA where he focused on both a pre-med curriculum and art curriculum. Dr. Shawn continues his support in the community by sponsoring numerous youth sports leagues, speaking at local schools on the importance of good oral hygiene, and participating in fundraising endeavors.
