When I first met Taff I thought he was a great guy ? he worked well with people and I'd been recommended him by a friend who had been counseled by him for some time and was a friend of his as well. Later on, I found out he'd been telling my friend much of what I said in closed sessions.
I was apparently not the only one this had happened to. Taff worked at a high school at one point and was fired and apparently discredited after numerous complaints from a handful of parents. Taff has kind of a hot temper himself, so when the parents of one kid found out he never followed through on paperwork for a college application as he'd promised to, they complained, and then Taff told them he'd fix it right up until the due date. He never did fix it, and the kid suffered.
Taff also was investigated by Colorado state police for failure to report attempted rape of one of his child guests. The Colorado police later followed up and said his failure to report was inexcusable.
He is not a trustworthy person, has broken counseling policies repeatedly and has been discredited as I said before.
I'm sure deep down he is a kind person, but he's not cut out for this kind of work, and if you value your privacy you won't get caught up in the scandals that have followed Wennik for much of his counseling career.
Pros: Very good working with people, good communicator
Cons: Has shared information and been investigated multiple times
