(This is my first time writing a review, so apologies if it's too long)
Dr. LeCann?s hygienist was great and very nice, but I was extremely disappointed with LeCann and some of her office staff -- mostly because when I scheduled a tooth repair, I wasn?t told it would cost me $500 that day, on top of insurance.
The whole experience wasn?t good:
1.) When the hygienist was done with the cleaning, we waited for LeCann for a long time. So long that the hygienist checked three times and seemed nervous that LeCann was taking so long.
2.) When LeCann finally came in, she didn?t apologize for the delay. She rushed through things and quickly went through a list of procedures/repairs using medical jargon. The only time she slowed down and had a real conversation with me was when I asked about cosmetic bonding to lengthen two of my front teeth. She said I should get Veneers, which are very expensive. I said I would think about it.
3.) When I checked out, a woman at the front desk wanted to schedule me an appointment to start the repairs. I looked at the list of repairs and was completely surprised: at least three fairly big tooth repairs (I?ve had very few problems with my teeth; only a few cavities); an expensive teeth whitening, which I never even asked about; and a full set of Veneers, something I NEVER said I wanted.
3.) I agreed to schedule the appointment for the first tooth repair, but said I wanted the teeth whitening and Veneers removed from the list. She said she couldn?t do that.
4.) THE WORST was that I wasn?t told the procedure I made an appointment for would cost me, out-of-pocket, $500 ? on top of what insurance covered.
Luckily, an office staffer barely mentioned it in a phone message reminding me of the appointment. At the end of her message, after saying something like ?see you soon,? she said: ?Oh, and $500 will be due that day.?
I cancelled the appointment.
I will not go back to Dr. LeCann. I don't think she or her office handled things well
Pros: nice hygenist, nice office staff
Cons: dentist; while scheduling appointment, not told about $500 cost
