The Lebanese Tavern "chain" is not new to the DC area of course, but the food here is delicious and I can order lots of mezze (small plates), which is my favorite thing. This allows you to enjoy a variety of tastes, which makes for a terrific dining experience, rather than being tied to one entree. The food here is top-quality middle eastern, and the decor is interesting and beautiful. This is a great place to come with both vegetarians and carnivores, if you have a "mixed" group, so to speak. The service is not slow, but they definitely do not rush you either, which I enjoy. We Americans tend to eat too quickly anyway!
