Learning Tree Child Care Center - Livonia North

What can we say about Mr John? My son had had him as his pre-k teacher for the last 3 months. The impact that John has had on his life has been amazing. We had some big changes that happened this year and our 4 year old was really bearing the grunt of it. His little life was changing so much. My son is a child that thrives in structure. He has been full time daycare since an infant so he gets structure and needs it to be successful. During his Prek year he had to wrap his little head around getting a baby brother. Then his brother arrived, then he went down to part time care in PreK for 14 weeks. Returned to full time care without a lead teacher in the room and bounced between rooms (he’s flexible) for 6 weeks until I lost my job. We were then home together for a couple months ALL THE TIME. All his structure was gone. When we came back to the learning tree we were told Mr. John was going to be his teacher. I was thrilled. I have watched how he interacts in the preschool room and firmly believe our kids need more male teachers. Mr. John was the first teach that really understood Dylan without me explaining how Dylan is. I have a super sweet, high energy, sensitive, stubborn boy. He figured out Dylan’s defense mechanisms and how to work with them. He got my son interested in reading and writing. I have a boy who HATES to write his name and we turned over a rock yesterday when he wanted to do it on his own, his idea. He is finally asking to hear a story at night again. He is happy and talks about his day and the funny things Mr. John does. For this I am thankful and makes me feel like I am doing the right thing as a parent. I cannot recommend him enough. more

I am so excited that there are now permeant teachers in my sons class and am overjoyed by who they are. I feel very confident in leaving my son with them and an very excited that he now enjoys going to 'school' because of them. Thank you so much ladies! more

Jeannie is incredible and we absolutely adore her. She is so sweet, fun loving nurturing, caring, hardworking and really engages with all the kids. My daughter is a big fan! more

Miss Jeannie does a wonderful job in the toddler classroom! She is always smiling and positive and so good with the children. She works hard and the children just love her. We are so happy that our child has such a great teacher! more

I'm very happy with the care my son receives. Ashley is very friendly and welcoming. I appreciate her helpful tips. I know my son enjoys being at daycare and has fun. I like the themes of the week she picks and the activities they do. more

Mrs. Ashlee is a wonderful, kind, and compassionate teacher! Our daughter has enjoyed being in her class, and has grown so much. Mrs. Ashlee is always cheerful and sensitive to the needs of each child. This Pre-K classroom is a great fit for our daughter! more

Miss Bella is a great teacher to my child. She is very hands on in the classroom. i love the experiences she gives my child. She always has a smile on her face and is full of energy! She is very committed to her classroom. I feel like she truly cares for the kids and gives them enough love, attention and encouragement throughout the day, which is very important to me. more

We started at Learning tree in January 2016....after losing and in-home Nanny. Our children were 2 and 3....and we knew that they needed more interaction and better curriculum. We did a lot of research and spoke with a lot of people regarding care for our children. Our children have grown so much at Learning tree North (Miss Annie and Miss Amanda) They love going there everyday and we know they are treated very well. We couldnt have asked a better more enriched environment for our children. more

Hi absolutely love Miss Resha and Miss Bella and so does my son! I feel comfortable and confident leaving my son with him all day. I couldn't imagine leaving my son with anyone else thank you both for being so wonderful! more

We absolutely love Rachel and so does our daughter. She is so kind and enthusiastic and we know we are leaving her in good hands. We love the art projects the girls create from their tiny footprints! Our daughter is all smiles when she sees Rachel and that puts us at ease. It's hard enough to leave your little one with someone but knowing she has fun in the class and is well tended too is a good feeling. Thanks for being a great teacher and taking such good care of our daughter:) more

Ashley C. Rachael K, and Marisa Z. are all awesome teachers because they listen to the parents, keep me apprised of what my child did that day, as well as his where he is at with his development. My son has been in the class about a year and he has gotten so attached and comfortable with them. The teachers are always doing fun artwork with the babies and young toddlers- it's amazing all the ways a footprint can be transformed into keepsake art:) Keep up the good work, ladies! more

Can't say enough about the staff at Learning Tree North. My husband and I feel so fortunate to have such a wonderful place to bring our son while we are at work. Ashley and Kim (infant room) and Noreen and Jeanie (toddler room), top notch early childhood educators and wonderful women. We cannot thank these women enough for all they have done for our sin and for us as new parents. more

Miss Noreen has been a part of our child care experience at the Learning Tree since day 1, and I wouldn't have had it any other way. She is extremely kind and compassionate towards the kids, but also pushes them to become independent even at a young age. She values the idea that the toddlers are still capable of learning how to do everyday tasks and how it gives them the sense of accomplishment at an early age. I absolutely love the care that my son receives in her room, and in fact requested her room for him after the fantastic experience we had with her with our older daughter. more

Miss Kim is amazing with any age group--especially my preschool age daughter. Not only does she make time to individually interact with each child throughout the day to let them know that they are cared about, but also takes the time at pick-up to talk with parents and fill them in on their child's day. That is very important for me because the Kid Report can only tell so much--it is truly the personal touch that makes a difference, and Miss Kim knows that. She realizes how important it is to plan fun and educational games/activities for the kids, as well as just let them play and invent/create on their own. I am so happy that my daughter is in Miss Kim's room. more

This is her 1st daycare and she was 16months when she joined the learning tree, so initially, she had a lot of seperation anxiety, but Ms. Noreen and Jeanine helped her ease into it by holding her and comforting her. They always welcome her or other kids with a warm smile and they give them hugs. They listen to parents and accomodate any special requests they have, which is very assuring. Ms. Noreen notices when a kid is ahead of their age and encourages them to achieve that milestone (for example, my daughter is ready for potty training at 18months and Ms. Noreen encouraged her instead of waiting until she moves to next class). She is very knowledgable and stable in her care giving techniques. Ms. Jeanine is a wonderful care taker as well. My daughter would cry if she is not around Ms. Noreen or Ms. Jeanine at school so on one evening Ms jeanine stayed back even after her working hours to watch her. Both the teachers go an extra mile to provide quality of care and give kids lot of love and attention. As parents we are very happy because my daughter loves them. more

We love the Learning Tree! The center is very clean, offers great meal selections, and does a great job of keeping my daughter safe and interested in what's going on. Mr. John and Ms. Kim are great teachers and my daughter loves both of them. She pretends to be Ms. Kim at home all the time and always wants to bring Mr. John new books to read. :) more
