Well worth it! I've taken both of my children to The Learning Connection and had wonderful results with their reading levels. Our family really enjoyed the simplistic and (colorfully) creative solutions to really help the kids learn all the in's and out's of the fundamental skill - phonics. (Which now days, phonics is removed from schools and replaced with a ""look see"" method.) \r \r So, we took the education of fundamental elements in our own hand. Annette and her team provide the right environment for the student to learn at their own pace - while being positively encouraged to stretch beyond the students confidence level - thus making them believe even more in them selves - which... is half the battle. A friend of mine saw a TLC flyer saying LEARN TO READ IN 20 HOURS. She knew my son needed help as he was borderline being mainstreamed and going into the Special Ed dept. We thought we would give it a try. \r \r Annette's patience with my son (who has a very hard time focusing and sitting still) is amazing. She not only got him reading over the summer he was the highest level reader in his mainstream class this school year. You cannot beat phonics and that is what Annette's program teaches. \r \r She now has him ahead of his grade in math as well. The Learning Connection , the staff, and Annette are beyond top rate!!!!!! Our son went from barley being able to recognize letters to actually reading in almost no time The utmost of care and concern was taken so that he was having fun while learning. He is excited about and proud of himself in what he was able to accomplish. He would not have been able to learn what he did, other than at The Learning Connection Their method and results are priceless!!!! more

The curriculum that is set up seems to be pretty good. It has an actually program in line for reading and writing other then just tutoring. However they dont tell you that its 60.00 an hour plus hefty registration fees. And to do the guarantee for your child to read its 1200.00 upfront. As well I had horrible time with scheduling and showing up for appointments and the tutor being late. more
