The mission of Lawrence School is to teach students who have distinct learning styles, ignite their potential, and inspire academic & social success. Students with learning differences are unique learners. While their sight, hearing, and other senses are intact, and intelligence levels are often average or above average, they process information differently from what is expected in a conventional classroom environment.
Living with a learning difference presents a mixture of both challenges and blessings. An unusually high sensitivity to stimuli can result in both distractibility and heightened creativity. And while LD students often seem to lag behind their peers in maturity, they may also exhibit natural leadership and unique problem-solving skills.
If it is time for you and your child to discover success both inside and outside the classroom, consider learning at Lawrence.
