She is very sharp and blunt, you will not get any sympathy from her and she is very expensive, charged me $7500 for 2 court appearances and file reviews, withdrew from my case (fired me) When I could not get more money fast enough and sued me for a small balance. Also she never returned my files and papers even though she was paid in full. more

I just read the email below.. Clearly a disgruntled sexist male who wants a ""smiling pit bull"" ...does one exist...she's pricey but efffective....you find that out if you have to go to trial and she she tears up the other side. The lawyer on the other side was much nicer and sweeter, she smiled a lot. Mine killed her in court. All my calls and emails were returned within 24 hours but I was a very proactive client. If you want an effective lawyer, 2 thumbs up. If you want sweetness, charm and $200 an hour, go elsewhere. more

I too had heard she was a pit bull in court... what was not explained to me was that she is a black hole for your bank account.... @ 400+ an hour, my simple divorce ( no kids, no property) cost me 7k, and thats before we even made it to depositions or COURT. I gave Karen a 5k retainer, 3 months later she needed 2k more, and then Karen wanted another 7500 for court and despositions...... I had to cut my losses...\r \r If Karen gave two ships about me ( or at least made me feel like she did) then I maybe would have continued to pay her, but she didnt, and doesnt. I have never met a lady who can talk down to someone like she does, and i guess when your raping your clients and billing them $40 bucks an email for example, I guess you can think your ship dont stink. She billed me 1700 for a motion i didnt want nor did I ask for, and when i said this wasnt what i was seeking, I still had to pay 2 grand for the privilage..... RIP OFF.....\r \r My advice.... RUN RUN RUN. Get a lawyer who at the least returns emails within the month, smiles when she talks to you, who clearly isnt out for the money. I met with Ms. Connolly about a month ago and she came highly recommended. I paid the consultation fee and met with her for about half an hour. Ms. Connolly was very straight forward and honest. Even though she told me some things that I did not want to hear I knew that I would not want to hire someone that would not be honest with me. I have heard that she is a Pitbull in court and that's what I need. I believe that you get what you pay for and I have done a lot of research. From my researching as a women in this profession Ms. Connolly has come very far. So if you want someone who is going to fight for you and be completely honest with you, then you should speak with Ms. Connolly and see what she has to say. more

I met with Ms. Connolly to discuss several issues. During that meeting, I felt I was being interrogated and belittled because I was still ""green"" to the legal system. I felt as if I were a criminal because I didn't want anything to do with the police or the courts, though I was being pushed in that direction by the ex-husband. Ms. Connolly made me feel like the $100 consultation was a waste of time and money on both our parts. I was already battered by the ex and the system and needed a lawyer who understood and could possibly empathize with that situation. Ms. Connolly apparently was not able to understand this delicate and, at the time, emotional situation. She might be good in court, but she is definitely hard on her clients who are also looking for good support during trying times.
