Horrible 5/29/2011

once we arrived we were the only ones in line, but another couple arrived after us and were seated before us, then we waited 15 min to be seated and once seated waited another 5 min just to order drinks and that took another 5 min to fetch. The menu was extremely short and displeasing, it took 30 min to get the appetizer and another 20 min to get our steaks just to find out they were over cooked and the waitress never made sure they were cooked properly until we were almost done eating them, we complained and nothing was done. Took another 10 min to get the check poor service, poor food quality, poor management. would never recommend eating there ever again. more

Outstanding food! 2/6/2010

The food at Latitudes is outstanding! I always get the special - whatever it is. It's usually something nontradional, that you can't find anywhere else. It never disappoints. My wife always gets the crab legs. They come pre-cracked for her so they aren't as messy to eat and they are always delicious. Try the all you can eat shrimp and crab legs on Monday night. It's the only night of the week they take reservations. http://www.latitudes-steelheads.com - Jason & Nikki more

Great food and service 2/4/2010

Latitudes is a great place to dine. Their food and service is wonderful. It is an excellent restaurant in a rural community. The added bonus is you don't have to drive to Grand Rapids!. more

vanilla bean 2/3/2010

I live south of Grand Rapids and have no problem driving up north for a good meal! My favorites are seafood asiago and vanilla bean cheese cake, which are totally worth the drive! The wait-staff has always been friendly and are drinks are always kept full. more

Latitudes restaurants 2/2/2010

neighborhood place to go good food great employees-always friendly staff - could use new items on menu- but very consistant we need more restaurants like this in Moncalm Mi, more

"Family" Favorite! 2/2/2010

My sister discovered this place. Remodeled big ol' hotel is not much to look at from the outside, but the best food and service around. Rivals all the Big City places, so is very much worth the drive! The Specials go quickly (must be why they're called "specisl") If you have nothing else; dessert and coffee! We'll be back again, and again, and again... more

Best place for miles 2/1/2010

I have been going to Latitudes Roadhouse since they opened and find it very charming. Frank and the staff are always ready to accomadate any requests I have and always make me feel at home. I especially like the specials they offer daily. There is always something new to choose from. I have my favorites on the regular menu and the appetizers are all the greatest. Love the soups, salads, walleye, deep fried mushrooms, cod and the shrimp are a few of my favorites. I don't think its any more expensive than a good resturant in G.R. Keep up the good work!! more

Great Seafood Night 2/1/2010

The Seafood night is an absolute winner. Shrimp prepared in a large variety of ways, all delicious. A quaint historical site in downtown Howard City, definitely worth the drive all for quality service and the best food. ENJOY! My parents got us hooked and we live an hour away. Laura M more

Big City Food and Service in Small Town 2/1/2010

Good: This place is a diamond in the rough! Just a short drive from Grand Rapids and right off the expressway. Their Seafood is unbelievable along with with their tender juicy steaks. They have a nice cozy atmoshere in their smoke free dinning room, as well as an Old Chicago Style Bar with a ton of flat screens. Whats really nice is that they are true foodies and use locally produced food items, when ever they can. Check them out soon, You won't be disappointed!. more

When will I learn 12/27/2006

I live nearby and gave this restaurant several chances. Each time was more disappointing than the time before. Service was very slow even without it being busy. Food was undercooked more than once. I would recommend trying some of the other local eateries that have more selections and are much less expensive. more

We enjoyed the food the first time.... 3/18/2006

Everything was great the first time we ate there. However, the second time we went the service was slow and the food wasn't very good at all. It was rather disappointing. I would go there again if I was meeting someone there or something but if I am planning on spending a nice evening out I won't plan on spending it there. more

Latitudes-For drinks or dining 7/17/2005

If you are looking for a place to eat in Howard City, you'll find several. If you are looking for a place that's a little nicer than the local hometown diner, you'll only find Latitudes. It's right here in town,so you don't have to drive all the way to Grand Rapids for a nice meal. It's located in an old brick building thats been renovated and painted inside and out. It still has that hometown charm but the ambiance is more like a nice restaurant. The decor is a little on the plain side, but it gives it a casual comfortable feel. The restaurant is in the front of the building and you can walk through the back to the Steelheads Bar. Steelheads also has it's own entrance on the side of the building. If you go for lunch, you won't have to wait to be seated most days. For dinner, you usually have to wait and Fridays and Saturdays are the busiest, like anywhere else. The only problem with this is that the only place to wait is the sidewalk or the bar. The food is excellent and they do offer daily lunch and dinner specials and they occassionally offer specials that are not normally on the menu. Prices for lunch are reasonable and run from about $7-$10 per person. They also have meals for the kids for both lunch and dinner. Dinner is quite expensive, but no more so than going to a place like Outback Steakhouse or Olive Garden. In my experience, the service has always been as good as the food. It's busy in there, but the servers manage to do a great job just the same. The place is always clean and they are family friendly. more
