Had dinner here 4 times in a week. The food is great, and the staff had been great. Ordered Lechon Assado, which comes with 2 sides. I always have the beans and rice, and the plantains. Tonight I was charged $2.50 for a bowl of beans. Out of all the sides I had, this was the most expensive one that they could charge. I told the manager that I had never been charged for it before, since beans AND rice is one of the side choices, but he refused to take it off my bill. I loved the food, but will no longer spend my money where the staff is trying to pad my bill. Very disappointed. more

This place is very delicious. It may seem expensive but the amount of food they give you is more than worth it. Service is great. Very prompt. more

Our second visit. This became a "must stop" in Miami after the first. Lechon asado was tender and juicy and perfect with morros and tostones. more

My sister and I was in the neighborhood when we drove by Latin Cafe 2000. She said to me '' this restaurant has great food'' I drove pass it and then I said ok let me turn around because I was tired of Pollo Tropical and I wanted to try something different. My sister advised me to order the steak with beans and rice and OMG! I'm glad I did the steak was so good with the onions on top of it the beans and rice was good to. The name of my meal is Palomilla . It was excellente and very cheap only $9.95. The only negative thing was I realized after I departed from the cafe I ordered a side order of Orden Maduros which means in English - Sweet fried plantians and never received it even though I was charged $2.50 for it. However I will return because I beleive it was a honest mistake our waitress Granja Zenelia made she was very pleasant to my party of 5 and gave us a warm welcome therefore I will return for a second visit. more

Wow, I can't believe I had never been to this restaurant. I had friends and family visiting from out of town and they wanted to experience a "typical" cuban style restaurant and food, so I looked up a number of restaurants and chose this one due to great reviews across the board from different sites...It is casual and comfortable and the staff was so friendly. We were a large group yet our service was fast and on point. Let's not eve get into the food, it was wonderful! I think I found another of the few restaurants to add to my list of favorites!! more

I had been driving by this restaurant for about two years before finally deciding to try it. It's right by the airport. A few of my colleagues and I had heard about it from another co-worker who never stops ranting about how great and cheap the food is so we planned lunch there, and boy are we glad we did! The food was excellent!! I ordered Camarones Milanesa ( breaded shrimp covered with marinara and cheese- which comes with 2 sides) sweet plantains and tostones. Great! Everyone loved their food. And for appetizers we got the fried calamari and ceviche for the table, which were also excellent. The service was also very good and everyone was friendly. Also, this place is a great quick place to stop and grab coffee or sandwiches because they have a walk up window as well. Sweet!I want to try breakfast there! more
