Truely Impressive 4/30/2011

Based on ratings I found I decided to see Gary and Larry when getting back into bowling. They have my business for life. Below is my experience with them, which I tried to keep brief. If this is all you read I want you to know that the guys at Larry's Pro Shop are great with people and have a pride in their work which ensures you are completely satisfied with your equipment. I started out working with Gary to get a ball that would be a good benchmark ball for my aspiring arsenal. He was very personable and didn't mind me asking all kinds of questions. After talking for a bit on what I was looking for in a ball he measured my hand and even had me throw half a dozen balls to see how I threw. The ball he picked out for me was the Columbia 300 Freeze and boy was I happy when he told me they had a used one for half price. He drilled it up while I waited and I immediately took it out to play. Amazing reaction but I digress. What really sold me was when I had to go back because my fingers would get bruised after a couple games. I called the shop and Larry answered. I told him what was going on with my new ball and he was very insistent that I come back in so he could figure it out. "No one should be uncomfortable bowling" I believe he told me. He replaced the finger inserts for free, after I managed to destroy them taking em out, and asked if I wouldn't mind bowling a bit to show him what I was talking about because in all his years he could "count on his thumb how many times" he'd heard of my issue. Larry decided to plug and redrill without finger inserts and see how I respond. I go back in a few days but really felt I needed to write this review in the mean time (and I barely leave feedback on ebay let alone write reviews.) Larry's devotion to a guy who only bought a USED ball is impressive and I hope you choose him too. more

Awesome place! 3/9/2011

I'm pretty new to bowling and Larry helped me out. Asked me questions to get me into the right ball for me at the price range I wanted to pay. Larrys sense of humor is great, made it fun to shop and learn at the same time. Larry is pretty busy so you have to be patient because people are coming in and out of the proshop. After searching the "Big" bowling alleys to shop, Larry had the best fitting system for purchasing a new ball to fit you correctly. I would recommend Larry to anyone! more

Awesome Customer Service AAA+++ 8/31/2009

The "Boys" at Larrys know their stuff and are glad to share their knowledge. They talk in a lauguage you understand and are comfortable with. It was such a pleasure to find these guys. Larry is the best, but Gary's not far behind. Pros: Service, Knowledge, Speed Cons: Shop hours and that's it more

Service Surpasses Expectations 8/18/2009

You have the unsurpassed customer care and service of Larry Schwab, and the ingenious smarts of Professional Gary Yamasaki. The combination can't be beat. You may or may not know what you need (in the way of a Bowling Ball), but by the time you complete a purchase with Larry's Team, you are educated and satisfied. These guys are the top in their profession because they get it done with class, smarts, and follow-through. If you're in the market for Bowling Equipment, there's only one sensible choice in the Northwest for all around service --> LARRY'S !! Pros: Top Notch Service more

Expert and friendly 2/14/2009

Polish up your comedy routine - you'll get to use it. I was buying my first ball, got a ball/shoe/bag package and a lot of personal attention for a very good price. It is a BUSY place - to be expected for the great level of service. Larry is fast and expert, no need to go anywhere else. I'll definitely be back once I get a little better and want to go up a level. He had a lot of customers in there that have been bowling forever. Pros: Great selection, expert help Cons: Everybody else likes this place too - so its busy more

Bowling Pro Shop 9/1/2008

I would recommend Larry's pro shop to both novice and expert bowlers alike. Larry's prices are competitive with those you might typically see on large internet sites. If you purchase a ball from Larry he does not charge for drilling- which likely makes ball purchases from him cheaper than they would be over the internet. Larry stands behind the products he sells and supports his customers with Les Schwab like service. I will do all my future bowling related business with Larry. Besides the fact that he operates one heck of a shop which provides all the items that rollers might fancy Larry is one heck of a nice guy and a pleasure to do business with. I suggest that if you are going to Larry for ball purchases you make an appointment at his shop. Plan on spending some time with Larry when you go to shop with him so you can learn, laugh and leave a happy customer. more

A Trip! 1/21/2003

met larry's bunch in sept, 2002. larry's is on 92nd now, not 30th anymore. the shop is always busy (says a lot), but well worth the wait! a bunch of us frequent larry's throughout the bowling season for equipment, free tips, and to joke around. sometimes, larry looks real mean, but he has a heart of gold! he has given us bowling lessons as well which helped each and every time. larry's pro shop will do everything they can to make bowling fun & successful for you. they stand by their work and merchandise. if you don't like how they drilled your ball for example, they will keep fixing it (for free). larry's is more than a pro shop, it's an experience! Pros: helpful staff, have all you need, fun Cons: busy shop, need to be patient, rushed at times more
