About 17 years ago I tried a local ""cat"" clinic, and was totally dissatisfied. Found Lange and have been going there for about 16 years with all my cats. Always have 3 cats, as one dies, adopt another. I've used every Dr. at Lange and they're all great. Some have different areas of expertise when things get complicated. Yes, elder animal care is expensive, but it will be anywhere you go. Lange is different as they have access to many imaging techniques and you can spend as much or as little as you want. Of all my cats, Biscuit was my fav, and putting her down was harder than any other cat, but Dr. Lange was the greatest and she lived about a year longer thanks to their expertise. They aren't great with reptiles, though, but they'll refer you to someone else. more

Entrust your pet to Dr. Lange 6/5/2008

Our bulldog, Winston, was a patient at Lange Animal Hospital for approximately 12 1/2 years (with the exception of when my husband lived in Atlanta). Dr. Lange said he was the oldest bulldog he had ever seen in all of his years of practice. My husband and I know he received the best care available from Dr. Lange and his staff and that their care helped to extend his life way past the 8 year life expectancy of an English bulldog. \r \r In April, Winston suddenly fell ill and we had to make a tough decision. Dr. Lange and his staff helped us through the entire process. They were extremely supportive when we were sobbing and unsure of what to do. They gave us honest, caring advice and walked us through the entire process. I am grateful to Dr. Lange and his staff for helping us through the heart wrenching experience of losing our beloved bulldog. \r \r We received a sympathy card from Dr. Lange and the office made a donation to the UT Vet School in Winston's name. I have never met a more caring vet. If we ever decide to adopt another dog, we will see Dr. Lange and his staff. Pros: Nice office, very clean more

The #1 Animal Hospital in the area 2/13/2008

I have been bringing my pets to Lange Animal Hospital for 9 years. It is unlike any other animal hospital I've been to. As soon as you walk through the door you can smell and see the differance. The place is spotless and the staff is very friendly. They also have some of the most compassionate doctors, especially when you are facing a very difficult decsion like I had to do. You pay for what you get and at Lange you get top notch care for you pets. Especially if your pets are more like you children. I can not say enough about this establishment. My pets see Dr. Miller and she is fantastic and had been there along time so she's very knowledgeable. Don't get me wrong, I've seen all the Doctor's, and I think they are all wonderful but Dr. Miller is my fav. I highly recommend Lange and Dr. Miller if you are looking for a Vet. in the area. Pros: Service the best and very clean more

Beware! 11/1/2007

My cat was a patient at Lange for 3 years and I thought they were a very friendly, knowledgeable staff. They were always quick to get you in when you had an emergency, and very attentive to trying to help my pet?s ailments, so I thought. \r My cat has suffered from on and off again Urinary problems, and my biggest issue was every time I visited Lange (sometimes quite often) I saw a different vet with a different idea. Most recently, one vet was trying to wean my cat off of Prednisone, another vet said to keep him on it indefinitely. Despite the debate my cat seemed stable. I had a trip planned and had to leave my cat with family in another state, but they were well versed in my cat's issues, and what docs I was talking to. While I was away my cat lost a lot of weight quickly, was urinating bl**d, and basically became very lethargic. My family called Lange and rushed him to a local vet in their area. Lange was not helpful to my family or the vet where my cat was being treated. When she called, they told her ?they had lost the records.? I had been in there almost every week for 2 months including days before I left town. There is no way they could have ?lost? my records. SHAME ON THEM! I called the day I got back and they had my records available. I would like to say this vet is a good place to visit when you don?t have any serious issues, but their quote ?losing the records? when my cat?s health was in serious trouble is negligence. more

High quality animal care 9/28/2007

When I first moved here I wanted to find an animal hospital to call our own so my pets could get prime veterinary care throughout the year, and also have the hospital facilities available if needed. It has always been important to me to have the same facility treat my pets in all situations since they would be so familiar with them and their medial history. Add that to a place that had a fun atmosphere, cordial employees, and employees that were always happy to see you and that would be the perfect place to call our own. If the staff is happy then it is a good place to work and that will trickle down to the clients. Unhappy staff = less than par service. I looked at different hospitals in the area and after a couple of tries I found Lange Animal Hospital. They had all of the things I was looking for in an animal hospital and so much more. They are an extremely knowledgable staff, and in my situation, worked very closely with UT Veterinary Hospital when my dog was diagnosed with a somewhat rare disease. Having UT as a backbone in the event they need additional knowledge just reassures me that my pets will always get the best care available. The staff is always pleasant whether it is 7:30 am or 6 p.m., and the doctors always come into the exam room with complete knowledge of what we are having done and they already have a plan in mind before we even speak. This facility, I have found, is also on the cutting edge of medical care but will keep their clients informed of any treatments, medicine, etc., that may not be suitable for your pet, as every pet is treated differently. I would highly recommend Lange Animal Hospital to anyone that loves their pet(s). Pros: Knowledgable doctors and staff, cutting edge medical treatment, everyone is always friendly Cons: None. more

Would recommend to anyone! Best Vet around! 12/15/2006
