BEWARE!!!! I too used a gift certificate for Landsburg. On 6/18/2011 I purchased 2 Sugar Maple Trees at $ 99.00 and I was told these trees would definately work in our ""wet"" front yard. Within 2 weeks all of the leaves dropped. I contacted Mike on 7/30/2011 and he convinced us to keep the trees, they would come back in the spring he told us. Well hello 2012, the trees are still dead. When the trees were removed we could see the roots had been all cut back to fit into the container. We returned the trees last weekend and opted to replace them with Weeping Willows which cost $89.00 At checkout I got charged $ 89.00. When I asked about it I was told they only guarantee their trees, plants, & shrubs at 50% unless the plant them. This was new to me as I am new to the area. Evidently they have had this ""policy"" for 30 years but I have never shopped there before. I mentioned it would have been nice to know BEFORE I spent $350 in their store. Menards, Home Depot, WalMart, KMart, Target etc. ALL guarantee their trees, plants, shrubs 100% for 1 year no matter who plants them. Landsburg Landscape was EXTREMELY dismissive and didn't care. So now I have 2 VERY EXPENSIVE trees. Hope they don't die too!!! Will never go back!
