We went for a midweek night in early March, The website is nothing short of fraudulant. We booked after looking at the website, shouldve looked over the reviews and investigated farther. Hot tubs/sauna closed and or locked, The front desk said they are very private THEN said ""dont you have a jacuzzi tub in your room?"" What the *&)(^ does that have to do with the hot tub and sauna ? We paid $205.00 plus taxes and got a basic room with a jacuzzi tub and fireplace.......Wow....The pools are outdoors, their website says nothing about this, The Hot Tub and Sauna are locked and no one will tell you how to get into these until after you leave and complain to the owner, The rec room with games is closed during the off season, once again no mention of this on the website, We asked the front desk clerk about this and she said she would inform the owners, From reading the reviews here I can see that its happened often and that the owners just plain dont care which leads me to believe they fully intend to scam people into their ""resort"" then never say anything. We contacted them several times asking for a 50% refund only to get a $50.00 voucher for a room there.....Like we will ever go back to this joke of a resort. Other fraudulant things, The ice maker is in the rec room that was closed for the off season, we were told to go to the gas station 2 miles away to get ice.....Wonderful... Faxes are not free, I do business 7 days a week, Found out faxes are .50 cents per page, copys are .50 cents a page too and IF the ice machine was accessable it would have been .25 cents per little ice container. Even local calls are .25 cents each....... That all after $205.00 ??? The only way this place stays in business is they still get customers by scamming them. The room (which we were told was the best) was a fireplace Suite with jacuzzi tub, Couldnt see the lake because it was early March and gets dark around 5pm but we could tell that they had no beach and the property looked like a state park with old picnic tables and cheap grilles cemented into the ground that were rusty beyond use unless you use lots of foil. The room was dirty to say the least, I will say the bathroom was very nice and looked like a new tub was installed, bedding was very old looking, picture 60`s porn set, The bed itself was lumpy at best, The fridge was turned off and took 2 hours to get cold so we did take that trip to get ice. All in all the worst stay of my life, I stay out on business 2-3 days a week in mainly mid price hotels in the $60.00 to $100.00 a night range and this place was worse than the $39.00 Travel Lodge I stayed at in Detroit over 20 years ago.
Pros: Newer bathroom tub unit...Yeah thats it.
