I won't say that this place is bad. The service was pretty good. The only problem I had is that when we arrived the server who eventually served us said that he did not know where our REAL server was. It is not that hard to coordinate service at a restaurant because that is their primary business function, TO SERVE! I hate when restaurants are unorganized like that. Anyways, the beer was okay. It wasn't carbonated enough. I am not just complaining about the beer because I don't know what I am talking about. I homebrew and I force carbonate my beer, and I have dealt with the issue of undercarbonated beer. My friends have gladly told me, ""you need to add more carbonation to this beer!"" This beer was undercarbonated! It needed just a little more carbonation. This was on the cusp of being a somewhat flat English Ale. I do not understand why Anglos love flat beer, but to each his own. The flavors of the beers were decent The Max Black and their Oktoberfest-Marzen Lager had decent flavors. The Max Black was better than the Oktoberfest. The food for its price is decent. I had the pork, and it was not cooked correctly. It was not even close to having the right tenderness. The sides were decent, as was the fried cheesecake.Overall, Max Lagers is middle of the road for me. If I want good beer brewed at restaurant I just would rather head to Greens. I have yet to visit a restaurant/brewery in Atlanta that has exceptional beer. The food, as I said, wasn't bad but wasn't the greatest. Go to try it, and leave it at that.
Pros: This place has nothing exceptional about it.
Cons: Beer is undercarbonated, quality of food is average
