Consistently Awesome.. My co-workers and I have been coming here for 4 years, at least once a week sometimes more. It's that good! I have yet to order everything on the menu, but I'm trying. It's not ""glitz and glam"" but that's not why we're there. Just solid, great, filling food! more

Great, no frills Mexican 10/19/2011

Delicious authentic food 11/19/2008

I live very close to this wonderful little gem, and I am hooked. I usually get a chimichanga and a margarita or two. The salsa has just the right amount of heat and tastes very fresh... I recommend it to anyone looking for something affordable, quick, and tasty... more

One of Denver's great Mexican dives- 8/29/2008

This is a wonderful little restaurant that we've been going to for ten years, ever since Jose, Sr. was out front. They specially made 100 tamales for our wedding rehearsal dinner, and Jose Jr. now does a great job running the place. The service is workmanlike, but that's part of its charm. The green chile is really phenomenal, especially the green chile plate on a winter evening or when you need to kick the last vestiges of a cold. Ask for the 2-taco plate, desebrada-- it's my all-time favorite. And watch the salsa, it can vary in heat day by day. Sure, you can get snappier service at another joint, and easier parking at a bigger place, but for me, when I want fast, good, cheap Mexican food and a margarita, (and who doesn't?) this is the place I go. As a bonus, they don't even laugh at my silly attempts at Spanish. Pros: Fantastic Mexican food, flan, and margaritas Cons: Parking and a small dining room more

Best Chile Rellenos 2/23/2008

I had heard that this restaurant had great Mexican food - I had driven past the cute little building many times when shopping at the Safeway across the street. more

Worst Mexican food ever tasted. 1/5/2008

By far, this was the worst dinning experience had in a long time. When we arrived my boyfriend opened the menu and there was salsa dripped wet on the pages. The salsa bowl had dried salsa on the edges and the chips were not home made and were stale. I ordered the green chile and it tasted like canned soup. it had too much black pepper and the meat was tough and tasteless. The waiter seemed depressed and did not greet us with any enthusiasm or a smile. Pros: Historic building Cons: The food more

Definitely a hidden jewel 7/21/2006

Ever since I first tried this little place on the corner of Clarkson and Park Ave a few months ago, I've quicly come to love it. It's got a quaint atmosphere and serves up great mexican. Everything I've tried, from the Chips & Salsa, to the Chimichanga has been a delight. The staff is alwasy friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Pros: Green Chile Cons: nothing more

denvers best kept secret 5/4/2005

basic mexican food but with alot of flavor. I love the nachos, chile rellenos(crispy), ground beef tacos and nachos, tamales, green chile, always tasty guacamole, mmm...and it's cute and quick. Pros: service, all food Cons: nothing more

Perfect Mexican. 1/28/2003

We have spent many afternoons and evenings on the patio or in the dining room at La Pasadita. The waitstaff is friendly and accomodating; as far as the food goes, the salsa is excellent, hot, and always a little bit different than last time, and the La Pasadita Dip (cheese, green chili, served with deep-fried flour tortillas) will make you thank the heavens that you were born. The fajitas are outstanding, as well as the tamale dinner. It's small, inviting, and comfortable and is great for a date (I proposed to my wife there!) or with a small group of friends. Pros: Food, Price, Service Cons: Small (not a con?) more

The best Mexican Food in Denver 7/22/2002

I moved from California seven months ago where good mexican food was plentiful. I looked high and low for good authentic mexican food in Colorado and finally found a place that is probably the best i have ever had. La Pasadita though small has a homie appeal to it and the staff and food are excelent. Pros: inexpensive Cons: parking, can get crowded more
