good place to get your french fix. 3 course price fix is creative and there are enough options. food is on the heavier side but portions are reasonable not big. nice atmosphere and our service was good. liked the wine list more

Owned by locals and run by locals. Having Diamond Dave at the bar and Adam Gonzalez presiding over the dining room has returned La Marmotte to its glory days. The food is simply superb and the vibe could not be more contagious! more

Our favorite place in Telluride. Consistently creative and delicious food, combined with friendly and knowledgeable service in a refined, yet wonderfully comfortable environment. We return year after year and make sure to have at least two meals here - we are never disappointed. more

We asked a lot locals what their favorite restaurant is in Telluride and most of them responded with La Marmot so we went to see for ourselves. We really had a great time, the staff was friendly, the food was some of the best we have ever had and the ambience was terrific. We can't wait to go back! more

If you are looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or one of the best bar specials in town, go here! Mairen and Mark are the best hosts and their creative and delicious season menus will give you choice anxiety (in the best way possible). The mussel chowder is one the best soups I've ever tasted and the hanger steak is always a go-to favorite. You can't go wrong with a flatliner at the end of the affordable three course meal or one of their 10 desserts! The cozy dining room is perfect for any night in Telluride and their private upstairs room (holds 10-12) was a treat for a friend's birthday recently. Enjoy! more

AMAZING 5/15/2012

The food and wine were AMAZING. Pork belly...nuf said. I picked out 3 apps and asked the bar tender to surprise me with pairings. Their wines by the glass are top notch. My fave. Be prepared to wait if sit in the bar area tho. It's worth it 10 times over. The bar tender runs all the tables and the bar, so only sit there if you are ready to nest for the night! more

We make sure to have at least two meals here during our annual Spring Break ski trip; with family and friends. The food is always wonderful; creative and delicious - and a great value, in our opinion. On the rare occasion that there has been any issue, the staff has been more than accommodating. We are devoted 'foodies' and do not understand some of the more unfavorable ratings that have been posted on TripAdvisor. more

Cozy, Scrumptious- A Must Try! 3/18/2007

Cozy restaurant with good service and excellent food. We stopped by when we could not get a reservation at another place, and we are sooo happy we did. The dinner was delicious with many choices and excellent portions I had the fried banana for dessert and it was the best dessert I have ever had! The kitchen sits above the dining room which is different. I highly recommend it. The prices are great in comparison to the other restaurants- we paid 30.00 for two burgers for lunch one day! The best place we ate during our trip to telluride! Go Go Go! Pros: Ambience, great food, great prices, no kids! Cons: none! more
