Service was horrible the waiter kept 5/26/2012

Service was horrible the waiter kept ignoring us then he would just walk away while we were talking to him, the cheese in my enchiladas was cold, rice was hard, my boyfriends tacos were pink, there were several plants inside and lots of gnats flying around would not recommend to anyone more

Bad bad bad 5/16/2012

Just Plain bad more

TOTALLY DISAPOINTED! 2/24/2012

SOOOO DISAPOINTED! I have been to La Fuente many times but after building this restaurant up to my relatives from Minnesota as being one of the oldest Mexican resturants in Tucson with a lot of atmosphere I have been apologizing ever since. I specifically wanted my sisters to hear the Mariachi play and sing. No Mariachi band! The most blah mexican food in town and poor wait service! I would suggest the chef take a night off and visit Rosa's or any number of excellent mexican restaurants in town and take lessons. We waited so long for them to take desert orders we gave up and went to Dairy Queen on our way home. All around thumbs down!!!! more

Mediocre Mexican food at $8.50 lunch buffet 12/14/2011

Lunch buffet is reasonably priced at $8.50+tax+tip but food is mediocre. There was quite a variety but food was insipid and not warm. Mexican restaurant with colorful decorations but food quality leaves much to be desired. more

BE AWARE 12/10/2010

BE AWARE if you use any type of coupon or certificate you will be charged full price for your drinks during their Happy Hour. Happy Hour and any type of certificate or coupon can not be combined with the discount of ordering food. The manager will not negotiate even though Happy Hour and your coupon or certificate indicate discount for food only. So go somewhere else for Happy Hour and then use your discount coupon or certificate for dinner. more

Rip Off 6/11/2010

Among the worst Mexican restaurants in Tucson. Subpar food and overpriced. Attention! Don't Be Fooled By Their Coupons! You'll still pay too much for the ""not so good"" food. Ugly pink building on the south end of Oracle Rd. That's the shady end of Oracle for those unfamiliar with the area. Cons: Taste, price, location more

Charming atmosphere 7/3/2008

La Fuente is a nice place to go with friends for a casual, tasty dinner that is not over-priced. I enjoyed the live performances that accompanied dinner. The interior was charming, with the hanging plants and ethnic decorations. The customer service was excellent, and I could tell that they aimed to please. The food was nothing extraordinary, but it was definitely good for the price. I liked the enchiladas. The salsa was excellent. I recommend it-but not if you are looking for a four diamond, gourmet restaurant. Pros: Quick Seating, Ambience Cons: The Restaurant could use some repairs to the paint, floor, and they could get new tablecloths more

Yucky Lunch buffet 1/4/2007

I have never been to La Fuente for dinner, but my coworkers like to go for lunch and have the lunch buffet. I believe at 8 bucks that it is way overpriced for the amount of choices and quality of the food offered. I always leave feeling kind of gross like i ate crappy food. Also, often times i have been there there will be like one enchilada left in the pan and it won't be refreshed the whole time i am there going to the buffet......yuck........i have never enjoyed the buffet or the price. Dry chicken, runny beans, and stale tacos.....no flavor Pros: ummmm, if it's taking me this long to think of one, then none? Cons: food, price, food, and food more

Good Food 12/8/2006

I have only been one time for the lunch buffet; however, the food was very good. The quality was good and the food was piping hot. The staff was friendly and prompt. Pros: Ambience is nice more

Worst Mexican Food I have ever Had 8/10/2006

A Must Visit Restaurant for Locals and Tourists 9/10/2005

La Fuente is a must visit restaurant on our trips to Tucson. Our 9 year old loves the mariachis and cheese crisp. The adults always order great guacamole that is made at your table and the chimichangas can't be beat. Between the members of our extended family, we have had nearly every item on the menu and have never experienced a bad meal or service. The staff is courteous and go out of their way to be helpful. My in-laws have lived in Tucson for nearly 60 years and swear by La Fuente. The only down side is that it can sometimes be a bit noisy--dpending on where your table is and if you are attempting to have a conversation at a large table. However, the staff has always been accomodating! more

La Fuente 1/10/2005

We have family in Tucson, and visit regularly. We make it a point to visit La Fuente every time. They are by far the best Mexican restaurant in regards to food and atmosphere, and just look how long they've been around - it doesn't get much better. more
