Some of the Best Thai Food I've Tried 6/27/2006

This isn't your same 'ol Thai restaurant, this is a one of a kind! The food is EXCELLENT! \r I highlyrecommend this place. The first organic Thai restaurant outside of Thailand, \r all I can say is WOW what a concept and not only that... GREAT food that's healthy, too. \r I've become a regular and once you try this place you'll be back again and again \r I guarantee it. \r Pros: They have handmade icecream. Cons: Can't get enough of their handmade icecream. more

Three of the Thai Salads, Service, Promptness. 6/27/2006

My husband took me to L'Thai for lunch on a hot Atlanta summer day. I seldom get past the salads\r my husband and I shared three. The Larb chicken salad, Thai style, seafood salad with herbs, Beef salad. We love it spicy, Thai spicy. They accommodated us with spicy we were both looking for. Superb. I am e-mailing all my friends to visit L'Thai. I've been to alot of upstanding Thai resturants in Atlanta (which are many) L'Thai has won me over to be at the top of my list. You really need to try a lunch and I gaurentee you'll be hooked. They will make you food as little spicy to Thai spicy. I look forward to my next visit. Pros: The manager cam to our table and talked to us, we discussed how good the quality of food they use. more

Best Thai In Town 6/22/2006

Last night, after reading the reviews here, we went to L'Thai, and it was incredible. This may very well be the only organic Thai restaurant outside of Thailand. You are given the choice of grassfed beef, chicken, vegetables or tofu. There is a large selection of vegetarian dishes, as well.\r \r We had the spring rolls, Tofu-Tod, Tom Ka (with tofu), Matsaman Tofu, and Basil Portabello. The Tofu-tod was amazing..we decided we could have easily eaten several plates of these hot, juicy delicasies served with a sweet chili sauce with peanuts. The spring rolls were obviously fresh. In fact, that's what really stands out here, how fresh and supple all the ingredients are. \r \r Even after the two of us eating all this, saving half the entrees for lunch the next day, I was compelled to order the handmade coconut mango icecream. Upon that last spoonful of creamy goodness, I knew I had attained nirvana, and L'Thai was my Bodhi tree. Pros: Organic vegetables, fresh ingredients, impeccable service. Cons: None. more

I've eaten at L'Thai three times now and it is extremely good. I have enjoyed Thai food with my three sons for years now. We agree that this is as good as Atlanta gets. The service has been very good each time also. I met the owner who explained his philosophy of what we eat is how we feel... So right! You owe it to yourself to try this beautiful restaurant. You'll just feel good for going! more

DELICIOUS!! 4/15/2006

I have been looking for the perfect Thai restaurant, and this is it. Everything about this place is wonderful. The food is devine, the wine is delicious and affordable, the atmosphere is attractive and relaxing, even the bathrooms are awesome! When you order, make sure to request the brown rice, it is amazing. As a vegetarian, I really appreciate the large selection of meatless choices. I recommend the spring rolls and the masaman curry. more

Delicious Food & Nutritious 4/7/2006

A friend and I wanted to have some good food. We decided to try L'Thai since so many friends had told us that the food is organic and very delicious. Well, the food exceeded our expectations. I had the Pad Thai, and it was very delicious and filled to overflowing with shrimp and chicken. Oh, the calamari appetizer was very tender and sweet, lightly fried, with a sweet sauce on the side. My friend ordered a chicken dish, coconut soup as an appetizer, and brown rice which looked so full-bodied and nutty. We ended the meal with a Thai custard that was reminiscent of my ole-time favorite bread pudding (but a whole lot lighter), and we had the sticky rice dessert with coconut sauce - sweet, light, and ohhhhhhhhh so good. The long drive was well worth it. Oh, the prices were very reasonable or even cheap. Pros: excellent service, owner greeted us, nice ambience Cons: good drive more

Wonderful! 4/7/2006

It was quite a drive, but well worth it. My husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The service was excellent, the decor was romantic and relaxing, and the food and wine were outstanding. I'd already heard great things about it from my friends and fellow foodies, and even so, it exceeded my expectations! Pros: good parking, relaxing, fast service more

Best Vegetarian Restaurant 3/19/2006

Last night, my friend insisted we go to her new favorite Thai. I was totally skeptical since I never had Thai nor like spicy. To my surprise, it was the BEST dining experience I ever had. First, we were greeted graciously and seated under a tree with the sound of water falls combined with soft music which set the tone for evening. Then we were offered organic wine by the glass, which was the best $5 glass of wine I ever had. And when we told the server that we were vegetarians, he recommended organic spring rolls and veggie tempura for appetizers, green salad with peanut dressing to share, and basil portabella and panang curry for entree, and finished off with their homemade coconut ice cream. The whole entire dinner was AWESOME!! Best food, great service, and very impressive wine list. L'Thai is now my most favorite too!!! Pros: Ambience, Food & Wine, Service Cons: Not in Alpharetta more

User review by aeblue 3/16/2006

My friends who live in the area took me to this restaurant. It was AMAZING!!! The ladybug organic wine was great! I am going to have to find this wine to enjoy at home. The waiter suggested the Tod-Man appetizer and it was fabulous. The Nam Sod salad was full over flavor and the Mat-sa-mun was the best ever. This restaurant is worth the drive from Buckhead! I will definitely be back often. Great service, great recommendations from the staff and I LOVE that the are serving organic food!!! The best Thai in ATlanta by far. Pros: Organic, Recommendations, Atmosphere more

Best Thai Food I have had 3/5/2006

I discovered the joy of Thai food over the past couple of years. One of my favorite things I have enjoyed at this restaurant is their Tom Kha. It is a coconut soup with shrimp. I was never an avid fan of coconut, but that soup goes down your throat like satin. I have had variations of this elsewhere, but was very disappointed in it. It did not come close to this. Every time I am there I like to try diferent dishes. I also love their warm sweet rice with custard, not too sweet. The service has also been excellent every time. more

Organic = exquisite flavors 3/3/2006

I have been on a quest for months to find the best Thai in Atlanta, and THIS is the place. Organic makes a world of difference, the flavors are absolutely exquisite. My friend and I noticed the difference with the first bite into our foods. Now I've had some good Thai in Atlanta, but this place is unique in not only the fresh organic ingredients but in the /kinds/ of ingredients they offer. Scrumptious desserts with jack fruit, and even durion! Service was charming and outstanding. I could not help but love the giant 'tree' in the middle of the restaurant. L'Thai is the only place in Atlanta to find a Thai dining experience this fabulous. My quest is over, and I can't wait to try many other dishes on the menu. Veg*n friendly too! Pros: quality of food, veg-friendly, service more

The cat is out of the bag! 2/22/2006

My friend took me to this restaurant a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it. He recommended the organic Portabella with basil sauce which had me nearly in ecstasy. We went back again on Valentines night and I decided on Masaman curry which has always been my favorite. It was the best Masaman I ever put in my mouth, and Ive had lots of Masaman in my life from East coast to West coast. Yesterday, I saw an incredible review by Knife & Fork about this restaurant, and I know next time we may have to stand in line. Pros: great food & wine, great atmosphere, great price Cons: location, visibility more

I'm moving to Tucker 2/16/2006

Okay, it's settled...I'm moving to Tucker so I can eat lunch here EVERY SINGLE DAY. They even have wi-fi for your computer! What is this awesome restaurant doing behind a Home Depot in Tucker? more

my new favorite 2/16/2006

A rare gem of a restaurant. If you love Thai food, you will think you have died and gone to heaven. I eat Thai food about twice a week. I have tried nearly every place in Atlanta. My favorite place used to be Little Bangkock on Cheshire Bridge - still a great restaurant - but now I like this one even better. ALL of the food is organic (step aside, R. Thomas), the flavors are amazing, and the prices are excellent. Try their nam sod, or the homemade coconut jack fruit ice cream. It's worth a trip to Tucker - trust me on this one. more

Healthy/Fresh Thai Restaurant 2/15/2006

The food is incredible and vegetables are all very sweet and fresh tasting. I never noticed a difference between organic verses non-organic but, at this Thai Restaurant I can tell a distinct difference. My favorite is the homade coconut ice cream. The owners and waitstaff are so friendly and welcoming and they quickly remember new faces. I have been to a lot of Thai Restaurants and this is by far my favorite. Every recipe tastes freshly picked and prepared. Experiencing this food is a must! Pros: Organic, Cheap, Nice Atmosphere Cons: location more

The best Thai in Atlanta 2/11/2006

I really enjoyed organic brown rice and red curry with organic vegetable and tofu. Shrimp Panang curry my husband order was also delicious too. Drove from Buckhead was worth it. Will come back soon! Pros: organic choice, service, food more

Wonderful Thai Restaurant 2/11/2006

I have visited this restaurant for quite some time. It recently changed it's name and added a new partner. The food quality went through the roof. The owners are always in the restaurant and make some great suggestions. The organic vegetables are of high quality and add a wonderful note to the complex flavors. These guys know what they are doing. The only thing on my wish list would be: Mee Grob (Spicy Rice Noodles) and it would be nice for the staff to remember the names of frequent patrons. I definitely highly recommend the restaurant for its authentic cuisine, its high quality, great service, good prices and a romantic ambiance. Pros: Service, Food Quality, Ambiance Cons: No Mee Grob, Don't remember names more

Best Thai food in town 2/1/2006

The restaurant has recently changed its name but the food is even better than before. The menu is varied with plenty of choices of soups, and salads. For us, on the east side of town, L'Thai is very convenient. The service is top notch and we get our orders very quickly. The owner/manager was there tonight welcoming people and checking on us to make sure we were happy. Try the homemade ice cream. We had the green tea and coconut flavors. Our experience was very pleasant all way around. The price is like other similar places, but the quality was first rate. Go to L'Thai and have a great meal more
