Chad Okun was by far the best loan officer I could have worked with on my purchase. I was a first time homebuyer and did not know a lot about the entire process. He walked me through the entire process and made me feel comfortable and at ease. I was never afraid to ask ANY questions and he always answered them right away for me. I would refer him to my closest friends and family. Very impressive! more

I recently had the bad luck of dealing with Chad Okan at LG Mortgage. If you want the car salesman type of mortgage person and lots of lies then he is your guy. There were at least 10 lies and as many delays and after all that he tells me that he cant help us. He needs to go back and sell cars becuase I am sure he has!!1 more

Aviod L & G, particularly Chad Okun who is one of the most dishonest, decieving and unprofessional peopIe I have ever dealt with. His tactics inlcude luring you in by assuring you a low interest rate, and then gradually strings you along over the next few weeks until finally giving you an interest rate that is much much higher then what he intially quoted. He is a con man who will try to convince you it's the best rate you can get based on the circumstances. I didn't fall for it, and you shouldn't either. I went with a reputable bank and got the deal done for an interest rate at even less then what Chad initially quoted. Don't waste your time or money with this sleaze ball operation of L & G. more

Dishonest haphazard lending at its best; or should I say worst? Convenient deception throughout the entire loan process. >>>> Recently, I got involved w/ this train-wreck of a company, after one of their [MLOs] directed me to his profile page. I stayed as patient as possible during our preliminary conversation, while he went through his smarmy, non-incendiary responses to the tired, overused questions I'm sure he must get on a daily basis. All in all, he did an adequate job moving my loan forward; that's when the nightmare began. >>>> A full month went by before an appraiser was contacted; I live in TX and wasn't informed about the necessity of a survey until roughly the sixth week, when pressed for answers about cost/time parameters, the response was always along the lines of, ""We don't know what we don't know."">>>> I was then told I would need to payoff my truck w/ the proceeds of the loan in order to get the debt-to-income [DTI] ratios in line. This, as it turns out, was not necessary - they fiddled w/ the closing costs a bit and made it work. I needed to refinance my home from an adjustable loan to a fixed loan. I dealt with only professionals, between my Loan Officer, Underwriter, Processor, and Closer-----it was easy and actually a pleasure versus the last mortgage experience I had. My husband and I were looking to buy our first home last month, and contacted sveral lenders in the Phoenix area, L&G Mortgagebanc being one of them. We found L&G to be very helpful and our Loan Officer kept us up-to-date on the status of our loans, without us having to call him first! Paid 35.00 for 2-4 hour response, we called 7 hours later, guess what not 10% down, now 20%, impecable credit, AZ is declining state DAH!, what state isin't? none!!!!!!!!!
