Dr. Frenchman is not board certified. He does the same type of breast aug over and over--above the muscle. It is a much easier surgery than to make a pocket for the implant between the chest wall and pec muscle. That is how he is able to do these in his office. That alone would scare me--it is one thing to be in a surgicenter or hospital and a totally different thing to get it done in someone's office. It seems that every time you hear about someone dying from plastic surgery it was because it was done in an office that is not prepared for an emergency. I have tons of friends who had Kush Frenchman do their breast augmentations. They all have the same type --above the muscle (instead of the standard below the muscle). He sold them on it being less expensive, less painful and with a shorter recovery period. Several of them needed a lift, but were told that the implant alone would correct the sagging. If you look at Mentor's website (LoveYourLook), they have a ton of information. One of the things they mention is that doing an augmentation won't correct the sagging breast. The only way to fix that is to have a lift. If you don't get the lift and opt for just the breast aug, what you end up with is a breast (implant) with a sagging natural breast hanging off of the implanted breast. Believe me, it is not a pretty sight. If you asked my friends they would describe themselves as deformed. Needless to say, getting a botched breast aug corrected costs a lot more money than just the aug and it never turns out as well. Not only that, unfortunately, placing the implant above the muscle has a much higher rate of capsular contracture (which he didn't mention). Capsular contraction makes your breasts hard, painful, and deformed! in response to your confusion, you can't go wrong with dr. frenchman. his specialty is breasts and people lieterally come from all over the country for his work. as for the initial consult, i worked for a plastic surgeon years ago who was also excellent and he did not touch the breasts on initial consult either. every surgeon is different. i had breast implants with dr. frenchman and couldn't be happier. they look so real it's incredible. i also had a face lift and am overjoyed. not saying you should go to him because maybe you're looking for something different from what he offers, but as far as cosmetic surgery, he is the guru. i trust him with everything because he is honest and won't just tell you what you want to hear. he is truly concerned about making the patients happy but also will give you his opinion. During my first consultation, he was honest with me and told me to consider a nose job and he was right it definetly needed attention before my breast. So being kind and compassionate he explained what he would do to give me an adorable nose. I thought about it and called him the next day and the surgery was on, we did both the same day. The healing process had minimal pain, the nose was more tender for awhile. This surgery was 11 years ago and my breast are still beautiful, full and perky. My friends I have met through the years are amazed when I tell them I had breast implants "Let me see, they say". I have refered 20+ people from all over the US and they are just as pleased. From tummy tucks, nose jobs, breast implants, lifts. I just love Dr. Frenchman and guess what he is about to do my breast larger and my tummy tuck, I am so excited. Love you Doc! His work is absolutely perfect, and his staff is sooo warm and understanding. If you are considering a breast augmentation, he is your doctor! I go back every year for a check up and he is still just as caring and friendly as the first time I visited him. In response to JBDovers review - I have not noticed the things she has complained about. The main reason that his prices are less expensive is that he has a surgery suite right there in his office and does not have to pass along the expense of going to an operating room at a hospital or surgery center. Also, his wife is his anesthesiologist. I would definitely recommend Dr. Frenchman to my friends and family. REFUSED SERVICES My medical doctor referred me to Dr. Frenchman for a cist on my jawline. I had to an appointment at 8:30 am, having to drive 30 minutes and be away from my job for him to take me in his office look at me and say yes you have a cist. I had breast augmentation done by Mr Frenchman on 06/20/07 and from begining to end my experience has been awsome.I can't praise Mr Frenchman and his wonderful staff highly enough.Every person that i had the occasion to deal with was Friendly,Polite,and made me feel completly at ease and very wellcome indeed.The waiting area was vey relaxing,clean and comfortable.Mr Frenchman took the time to explain every thing to me in a manner that i understood.He welcomed my questions and boy did i have a few questions.They may have seemed trivial questions to some people but they where important to me.Mr Frenchman had no hesitations answering and gave me complete confidence in him as the surgeon that i would choose.The day of my surgery went exactly as i had been told that it would .There was nothing that i did not expect as i had been fully informed prior to my surgery.The medication and the after care instructions that i had been given were excellent.I knew with complete confidence that if anything had worried me,i was only a phone call away from expert care and advise.I was reccomended Mr Frenchman by 2 different people who have had surgery in the past by Mr Frenchman.My honest advise to any one looking for breast Augmentation is to look no further than Kush Frenchman and his fantastic Staff.My breasts are better than i could ever imagined possible.I am so happy!!!!
