Sushi for the masses 4/15/2006

OK, so if you know good sushi and are a big fan, then you might not want to try this place. However, if you're one of those people who doesn't really care and will eat anything as long as it tastes good, then I would recommend Kurama. They have a little conveyer belt with different sushi dishes circulating around the room. The color of the plate indicates the price of the dish (the cheapest being only a dollar!). I personally, like to eat here when I'm in the mood for sushi. I think it's decent, very nicely priced, and quick. more

Kurama is grrreat! 4/13/2006

Kurama is a great, fast, and cheap sushi place on Franklin Street. That pretty much sums it up. The spicy tuna sushi is aboslutely amazing! The restaurant is not fancy, it's more of a good lunch spot. Also, they have really good rice bowls. Vegetarian plates start at only $1! If you've never tried sushi, this is the perfect place to try it! more

Serve-yourself sushi 8/12/2005

Kurama is a casual, serve-yourself sushi restaurant. Don't expect anything fancy here. The sushi is on little plates (color coded for price) on a rotating belt, and you grab what you want. The sushi is not the best quality, but you probably won't get sick most of the time. You might be better off just grabbing a couple of rolls from Harris Teeter though. more
