Fast care, nice people 4/11/2012

I like this office because you don't have to make appointments weeks in advanced. Sometimes you can be seen the same day. I see Jesse Watts who has always been nice, considerate, and professional. The staff there is nice for the most part. (I had one bitchy nurse at my last appointment) but thats not typical and she wasn't rude, just.... short. Overall, I love this place, its right down the street from me but I would easily drive an hour to go to this office in the future when I move. more

Jesse Watts P.A 1/30/2010

I have seen her several times and was impressed with her knowledge and understanding of my situation. She listen to all my questions and answered them accordingly. \r She has done one biopsy and three injections to a scar. I am very happy and would highly reccomend her professionalism to anyone seeking a wonderful dermatologist. more

Jesse Watts most professional 1/28/2010

I can't belive what I just read about Jesse Watts. A friend of mine referred me to her and I have been seeing her for over 2 years. She is soft spoken and gentle. My treatment from her has been nothing but professional and whoever wrote the last comment must be crazy. I have sent no less than 5 of my friends to her and none of them have complained. Ignore the last review. Pros: The nicest person more

Jesse Watts is NO Professional 9/6/2009

I saw Jesse Watts who is just a PA, and she was so unprofessional. I tried to ask a question over and over, but she interrupted me more than three times giving me the same answer which didn't address the question I was trying to ask. If she had waited until I finished, she would have found out that I was asking a totally different question than the one she thought I was asking. I finally got my question asked and a relevant answer given, but I should have gotten to ask the whole question the first time I tried to ask. I realize that some people had a positive experience with Jesse. However, NO ONE should have to be subjected to this unprofessionalism under any circumstances, especially from someone in her position who deals with patients. I work in customer relations and would never treat one of my clients this way! Needless to say, I will not be going back to her or Johnson County Dermatology. more

Best I've Ever Been to... 5/14/2009

I've gone to JCD and been treated by Jessie Watts, the PA for several years - I have NEVER had to wait longer than 5 minutes to get checked in, and have always been treated with the utmost courtesy and compassion. (I suffer from chronic adult acne). I had several moles removed a few years ago and ended up with some small scars, but I'd HAPPILY trade a small scar for not having cancer! No one can predict with 100% accuracy whether or not you will develop scars - and most fade considerably over time. Jesse also performs my annual cancer screening and is very throrough. Also - I have never had any problems with billing. Kudos to JCD! Pros: Never a long wait, courteous, compassionate more

Fast, professional service 5/12/2009

My wife has been pleading with me to visit a dermatologist to have a skin growth examined. I have a demanding professional life with very little time during the day. I saw an ad for Johnson County Dermatology a few weeks ago and decided to make the call. I called on a Monday, was scheduled with Dr. Proffitt the next day. It took about 10 minutes to fill out the new patient paperwork. The doctor saw me within 5 minutes of my scheduled appointment. Dr. Proffitt looked at the growth and said it was most likely benign. 5 minutes later the growth was removed painlessly, and the skin under the growth was cotterized with a high-tech instrument. I can barely see a mark. Dr. Proffitt asked repeatedly if there was anything else he could do for me. I asked him to do a skin cancer screening just for safety sake. All came out OK. The entire visit, start to finish, took less than 20 minutes out of my day...not a bad trade-off for a clean bill of health! I highly recommend this practice. Professional, friendly staff, and extremely efficient. Piece of mind and keeping my wife happy...priceless! Pros: In and out in 15 minutes Cons: Highly recommend this practice more

Avoid at all costs!!! 8/4/2008

Avoid this place at all costs! I scheduled an appointment because I had some spots appear on my arm that I thought were unsightly. After looking at them, they determined that they should freeze them off with some liquid nitrogen. I was told that they would scab over and flake off, and eventually you would never know anything had ever been done. Three months later, I look like someone has been putting out cigarettes on my arm. I healed a compound fracture of my right leg in that amount of time! I don't know if it will ever look right again.\r The worst part of this whole experience is that they told me when I left that I owed NOTHING for the visit. Figuring I had some co-pay or something that needed to be paid, I clarified that I do not, and will not owe anything, and they told me I did not. Of course a few weeks later I get a bill for $40. When I called to ask about it, they gave me the runaround, and even admitted that they were wrong, and that they should have handled things differently, but then told me to pay or they were going to send me to collections! I would like to see what would happen if a retail store or a regular business sent someone a bill after they overcharged someone. \r Like I said, avoid this place at all costs. All I got for my visit was a bill after being lied to about it, and a scarred arm. Pros: The doctor was nice, although she scarred me for life. Cons: Everything. Long wait, being lied to at the pay window, being scarred. more
