Since I shop at Kroger, when I have a prescription, I usually just drop off my prescription when I enter the store and by the time I'm done, it's ready. The only problem I have ever ecnountered is that sometimes the pharmacy doesn't have the medication availible. It's annoying that they don't page or flag you down while you're in the store and notify you so you can make arrangements to get it filled elsewhere. And, if you don't have prescription coverage, you will pay a higher rate than if you went to a smaller pharmacy. Since I have a prescription plan, I usually only pay a flat fee, but during my deductable time, I have found its cheaper to go elsewhere, unless you don't have a choice.
