Krause's automotive came highly recommended. I had brought a few cars there for work and after spending several thousand dollars there and thought it was a fair group of mechanics. The prices were decent and the work was moderately competent although they suffer slight communication issues, but overall an honest place.\r
\r
I had a car with flood damage sent to them for diagnoses. Lance from Krause’s was informed of the situation in much detail. We had discussed via phone, the damage to the car and he assured me that they would look at it. Based upon this I had the car towed out there, at of course, my expense. \r
\r
When it arrived, I called an again and verified that the car was in their care. Lance confirmed their receipt of the car and again assured me that he would have a cost for diagnoses soon. Some many days later, I was told via email they would not work on the car.\r
\r
It smelled musky and that was too much for them to cope with being the natural standard of cleanliness in the automotive repair industry, that statement is rather absurd. They were not interested in putting a new battery in it and lock cylinder to see if it was capable of restoration, regardless of the clear understanding we had prior to me having it towed there.\r
\r
When I called to clarify I was met with attitude and insult without reason. I was told that the bill was outstanding for the tow and that my business was not wanted. The prior several thousand spent there was fine, but not this business. Regardless of the other car and the Mercedes which needed thousand of dollars of work, and regardless of the other vehicles from the circle of people which I had been referring there, the response for the classic 1974 SL convertible was, NO and again expressed with a lining of insult. \r
\r
Krause’s Automotive no doubt had been a good place, built on customer satisfaction and work ethic. This is decomposing and will continue to as many businesses in successes find apathy and fail. Look elsewhere for you foreign car needs\r
