hey i use 2 work 4 him and i know by first hand how he is..he made alot of people feel weird when they came in. his kids didnt show no respect..they always where eating sunflower seed and jus dropping them on the floor and on furniture..customer would complain on that.. it wuznt fair workin there either..you could work your ass off(as i did) and it wouldnt matter the showed favorites..he only keep the white workers and let everyone of other colors go..theyalways were figthin.yelling..yeah he did know wut he was talking bout..but he didnt know how to act in front of people..he needs help..his wife also.. A lot of these past employers probably wrote the insults about them because they lacked the experience and manners to work there or customers that don't understand. I saw a few of them that did not respect there furniture and the people so they were terminated.\r They know what they are talking about. For instance, I had a friend that bought from Rooms To Go and her bed was too high, THANKFULLY she had a delivery from Ko and they said that when selling that kind of bed they are suppose to tell you that you would be high off the ground ,she would have had to buy steps if you have a box spring with her bed because it was so high and Ko's delivers had told her ,so she didn't have to buy steps, to get on her bed that she could buy a bunky board or something. Every time that I have went there they knew what they were talking about especially Ko( the owner ) They are really nice people despite what others say. Every family has issues and I undestand that, especially working together. I personally know that things become stressful to the point of giving up. Other than that I recommend going to the furniture store despite there issues the customer comes first. They have a lot of options and if you talk to Ko he can help you out! IF THEY HAD A NEGATIVE RATING IT WOULD BE THE LOWEST THAT YOU COULD RATE... I WAS LOOKING AT DRESSERS WITH THE SALES MAN MORRIS AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE OWENER WAS SCREAMING AT HIS WIFE...F THIS AND F THAT...THEN HE WENT INTO A ROOM AND I THOUGHT HE WAS HITTING HER BUT HE WAS KICKING IN FUNITURE...I WAS TRYING TO ORDER A PIECE OF FURNITURE BUT WAS SCARED TO STAY THERE...I TOLD THE SALES MAN I WAS SCARED FOR EVERYONE IN THE STORE AND THAT I WAS ABOUT TO CALL THE POLICE...I WAS SHAKING...HE APOLOGIZED FOR HIS BOSS BUT I SAID THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND IF THEY WERE GOING TO GET ME SALE THEY WILL HAVE TO DELIVER MY BED AT NO CHARGE AND SET IT UP FOR FREE...I WALKED UP TO MR KO AND SAID YOU REALLY NEED TO GET SOME MEDICAL HELP....THAT IS NO WAY TO ACT IN PUBLIC... AND YOUR WIFE DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE SPOKEN TO THAT WAY...I SAID YOU ARE SCARRING ME AND YOUR KIDS ARE RIGHT HERE LISTENING TO THIS...WHAT KIND OF PERSON ARE YOU....THEN HE GOES ON TO TELL ME ALL HIS PROBLEMS AND BLAMES HIS WIFE....I SAID STOP TALKING TO HER THAT WAY AND IF YOU DONT GET YOUR SELF UNDER CONTROL I SHOULD CALL THE COPS...I SAID GOOD BYE AND I SAID SORRY TO THE SALES MAN...I WALKED OUT TO MY CAR AND CALLED MY BOYFRIEND AND TOLD HIM WHAT HAPPENED...I REALLLY WANTED THE BED BUT KO WAS SCARRING ME...SO I WALKED BACK IN THE STORE AND I ASKED FOR THE SALES MAN...HE CAME OVER AND I SAID I WANT THAT BED BUT I DO NOT WANT THAT MAN KO TO EVEN TALK TO ME...HE CAME OVER AND STARTED TO SAY SORRY AND I SAID I REALLY DONT WANT TO HEAR YOUR VOICE...YOU NEED TO LEAVE SO I CAN TALK TO MY SALES MAN...I DID START TO CRY SO THE SALES MAN ORDERED MY BED AND DID NOT CHARGE ME SALES TAX NOR DID HE CHARGE ME FOR DELIVERY...I THANKED HIM AND HE WAS SO SWEET... KO NEEDS TO SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP AND HIS WIFE DOES TOO....THEY HAVE SAFE HOUSES FOR WOMAN THAT ARE BEING ABUSED....IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE SHOPPING THERE AND I FEEL BAD FOR THE SALES ASSOCIATE ... HOPE THIS HELPS...MY BED SHOULD BE COMING IN A WK...HOPE I DO NOT HAVE TO DEAL WITH KO EVER AGAIN...THE ONLY REASON I BOUGHT THE BED WAS THAT I LKIED IT AND MORRIS WAS A GENTLEMAN... I was in Ko Man furniture and could not believe how the owner ,Ko putman was talking to his wife and kids.(major verbal abuse) I asked one of the employees what was going on and they said, Ko is like this all the time. Wow Ko, it takes a real man to talk to your wife and kids like that. You should be ashamed of yourself. I'm willing to bet im not the first person to tell you that. Oh and about your furniture. I dont care how much it cost to run your buisness and all the overhead you have. Just make a good deal.nobody wants to know your problems. everybody has enough of there own. Cons: NEVER WILL GO BACK ....EVER!!!! more

I just read the last review and I have to COMPLETELY disagree with how he described Mr. Ko. I think he is one of the more honest furniture store owners that I have ever met. I have worked in the industry and he is very mild mannered and seems to be a total family man. His entire family works there also. His wife is a very nice lady also. His prices have beat out Hilton's, Clear Lake Furniture, Pearland Furniture and even FAMSA. The place is very kid friendly, as my two daighter's love to run around in his store and they never seemed bothered by it. I am buying an Ashley Counter Height Table for an excellent price. Mr. Ko Putnum and family has been wonderful to me and my girls. I believe when my income tax return comes, I will buy my littlest one a new mattress and bedroom set from Ko and family. Keep up the good and honest work Ko, the furniture industry needs more people like yourself. more
