Knoxwood Hills

Knoxwood hills...where to begin. I'm just going to give you an outline. The DisappointedResident post was me as well so this is more of an update. 1. Cockroaches still present. 2. Rats! Huge ones! One got stuck in the stove covering and died and my apartment stunk for DAYS. It wasn't easy to get someone out here to find it and get rid of it either. 3. New management. Management is always nice but never do anything. They always pacify you with promises and ""make a list, we'll get right on it!"" But after lists and promises, even the new management team failed to live up to their promises. 4. New manager was stabbed 4 times and beat up with a bat. He had to be rushed to the hospital and almost died. The maintenance man had a gun pulled out on him within the first month or so working here. 5. There is trash all over the grounds and they move in illegal hispanics. Not that I care if there are illegal hispanics really but they move in 4-5 men in one apartment. currently, in 3 apartments in my building alone there are 16 men. All drive big duly trucks and there isn't any partking. I wish I could post pictures of all this. 6. Mice, we have killed 3 so far and they are still breaking into my bread. I cannot keep fresh bread. Plain and simple, the rent here isn't much cheaper than anywhere else, actually for a 3 bedroom it's $600. You could get a 3 bedroom place somewhere a lot nicer and not have to deal with everything I have here. Be smart and just stay away from this place. My friends and family don't even like to visit because they are afraid their tires will get slashed and my mom worries about me bringing anything, like laundry, to her house because she's terrified roaches will be in my things. The area is dangerous. You neighbors will scream, cuss, and fight at all hours of the night. The building is overrun with cockroaches and nothing is done about them. They do have a pest control person come out an spray but he only does the kitchen and bathroom and it's never effective. It doesn't matter how many people complain, it is never taken care of. You'll have them on your plates, on your commode, crawling on the walls in your bedroom and coming out of your laptop, and sometimes on you. Nothing is handled in a timely fashion. The windows are drafty and there are great huge dips and holes in the floor. This is the place people go when they have nowhere else to go. They'll get you in with the promise of two months of free rent and then you're stuck with a fourteen month lease and having to call the police once a week. Comcast won't even come out here when it's dark. The bathtubs are painted with a flat paint so it looks really nice when you move in. However, after one shower, the chipping takes place; it looks disgusting and then you have to deal with the drain stopping up because of it. Every bit of ""renovation"" that went into this place was just cover up. I would not recommend this apartment to my worst enemy. I'm sure there are worse places to go, and overall the apartment looks nice. However, the delinquent neighbors, the revving engines, and crime in the area tone that down a lot. If you like living in the hood, partying with cockroaches, and hearing your neighbors scream and fight nearly every night, come on down! It's so bad that the police sit in the parking lot here more often than not just to try to get some semblance of peace in the neighborhood. The office manager is a sweetheart but never takes care of your requests. Once you move in, you're written off. The apartments were once condemned according to neighbors. Don't take my word for that though, that part is heresy and the rest is truth. I deal with it first hand daily. I'm stuck here for another 11 months. God help me. more
