Right next to Dekalb Produce is a yellowish house with a small sign in the front. Unknown to most - this modest sized house is teeming with cats and kittens of all sizes, waiting to be adopted. A safe haven and any cat lovers dream, the cats have free roam of the well-kept, cozy and clean house with cat toys, furniture and more until adopted. Kitty Cottage rescues cats from all over - including those that other shelters cannot house any longer and would be put to sleep - a noble cause. Visitors can give the cats some extra attention even if they're not ready yet to adopt... the staff is very open and nice and also welcome volunteers and donations. A very lovely place for cats.
