Good To Poor 8/9/2009

After 7 pleasant years kayaking with kittatiny they lost my business because I left something in a kayak, called them and they would not hold it for me until the next day. They were very rude and did not seem to care about return business. Now I go to IndianHead, right next door. more

Kitattinny Canoe Trips on the Delaware River 6/24/2006

Kitattiny is a family owned and operated business that runs water based adventures along the Delaware River. Close to the Catskills and the Poconos, it's easy to reach the camp and water sites from Route 80 in NJ or I-84 in NY or PA. Experience the beautiful Delaware in a canoe, kayak, a tube or from a campsite. During the summer it's not unusual to see the Kitattinny canoes navigating the white waters along the Delaware. The canoe trips and kayaking are very popular excursions which folks in these parks look forward to all year long. I'm more of a cruise ship personality but did attend a business retreat on the Delaware that was quite memorable. Float down the Delaware in a tube which is perfect on a hot summer's day--relax and drift along without a care in the world. Rafting is another great way for novices and families to enjoy the river at a much less hectic pace (no experience is necessary for either). If you're interested in kayaking, Kittatinny offers Learn to Kayak days at its Pond Eddy Base in Pennsylvania during the summer where you'll learn the basics of this growing recreational sport. Kitattiny has access to over 250 rugged acres of in Delaware's whitewater country, as it's known and you can camp, hike and fish at some of the areas best known campsites. Stop in at the General Store and get advice from some of the area guides on equipment, supplies (bring plenty of insect repellant, sunscreen and bottled water), weather and tips. Check the website for rates on all of the adventures, as well as the rules and regs for camping, fishing and other outdoor activities. Leave the campsite better than you found it, please, for the next group to enjoy! more
