A nice spot to stop on your way to Lancaster. This amish type village is located in the town of Intercourse on RT 340 just 10 miles east of Lancaster City. You could spend a day here it has over 40 shops in this little village. I have been visiting this spot with my children for over 10 years. Enjoy a Buggy Ride or cut loose and race on a battery-powered tractor. Kids only. Throughout the year they will have a variety of events going on. Small bands, dancers and other special events. Parking is ample and it is handicap accessible. In the summer the town get crowded so come early and beat the crowds. more

Fun, quaint shopping and dining experience! 12/27/2005

Visiting Kitchen Kettle Village is always a treat. It's a neat, little village that is a lot of fun to explore. There is a great variety of shops and dining (and even lodging). The highlight is the jam and jelly store, where you can sample the products and even see the canning process. There are unique shops and crafty items for sale too. And don't forget to get yourself a snack while you are there- maybe the decadent ice cream or the hot, fresh soft pretzels. Usually there is entertainment too- this is a nice touch. more

It really is a "village" 10/5/2005

This is actually a Village, not just the name of the stores. There are hotels, stores, and restaurants right on site. I like to take visitors from out of town here, to see how the jellies, breads and even crafts are made. If you are in the area, stay overnight here too, right in the Village. The prices are not that bad either, and they display local art and craft items on consignment; these prices are a little higher than some of the local community shops. more
