My boyfriend Rene and I went last Friday early afternoon for drinks. After ordering them, we were promptly told they couldn't serve us and that we were asked to leave. We asked why, and they told us that ""my boyfriend"" had apparently gotten in a fight, and trashed the place, got arrested and refused to sign his tab the night before. Only he and I were shopping in Bellevue that night, and then went home together. We tried to explain to them that they had the wrong person, but they got really nasty and told us it was him cause he was wearing the same shirt! Geniuses, apparently. I asked if they knew the name of this other guy and they didn't. You'd think they would know the name of someone who was banned from their bar. There was no manager at the bar then, and we were kicked out. I've never in my life been treated like a criminal and neither has my boyfriend. It was totally rude and we were never given a chance to prove it wasn't him. We will return next time we are in the area and demand an apology. Went there on a Monday night, the waitress was a bit cocky and she was sloooooow. Could have sold me a few more drinks if she'd come to our table more often but most of the evening she appeared to be playing around on the computer or chatting with her coworkers. The bar was practically empty, it should have been no challenge to give good service but apparently what others have said here is true. Pros: Munchies were pretty good if a bit overpriced Cons: Service was terrible, for the price you could do much better elsewhere, parking costs $ more

Hey guys/gals Kirkland Ave is starting to look nice after the new management took over. Brand new i think 52 in flat screen tv's, new daily activities like pool night that i heard is going to start from a bartender and i heard they have tons of events to bring in = D but...i wish they would bring the pull tabs back.... more

This joint seems to have found its way into a -so called- progressive city like Seattle. The service is consistenly awful, dominated by incompetent waiters/waitresses, which in turn seem to have stayed in its 20s eventhough they are well over those years. The crowd is so inconsistant that one day you may have the locals hooking up for some after work drinks mixed w/ twentysmtgh shooting some pool loudly with beer. The food? Dont even go here for food, since probably most of the income this place generates comes from the ""big night"" on sunday on which this unpositioned pub turn into a college bar. more

The bartenders, on Monday/weekday evenings, are unfortunately incompetent. The evening was not busy, the wait for drinks was long, different drinks came mixed into eachother due to the bartenders splashing different liquors into adjacent glasses, the wait to close your tab may take up to 20 minutes, and the bartenders are impolite/borderline 'slow'. I will not even try a weekend evening here. Owners would increase revenue by replacing those bartenders who can't handle a simple customer-facing responsibility. Went to Kirkland Pub with 2 girlfriends. Sat at the bar and our bartender was a cutie -didn't catch his name, had blond spikey hair. A loser was hitting on one of my friends, a real freaky guy, and the bartender got him outta there. The drinks and food was great(we had pizza, pretty hard to screw up). We were going to go dancing down the street at the Shark, but had a better time with our cute bartender (and safer, Shark can be scary for us 3 gals!) We're going back to party next weekend more

By far the worst service that I have ever recieved, and the bar wasn't even busy. Bartenders do not know how to work the entire bar, but rather stay on one end the entire night. Also, the drinks have hardly any alcohol in them. Best bet, drink beer and send a good looking girl to get it, otherwise you will wait 20 minutes to get served.
