From Monday to Saturday, our Town Square is available to everyone; young & old from sunrise till early morning hours (2:00 am).
It is a very safe place right in the center of the town surrounded by stores, doctors office, pharmacists, travel agents, lawyers, etc.
The main and oldest Catholic Church is part of the town square. The town square has an open auditorium for shows, musicals, etc. and lost of space for the people who attend. It also has a water fountain.
Now, 7 years ago, What we call like a Gazebo of Typical Candy was established; called Kiosko de Dulces Tipicos.
They make the best Cappuccinos you have ever tasted. Or a simple coffee, hot chocolate, desserts, etc. People actually wait 2 or 3 hours to be served their own unique special cappuccino by the owner, his wife or one of his employers.
They love to talk to the customers and have so many stories about the different types of coffees and variety of cappuccino.
Both Hilton and his wife Myrna, the owners are our personal best friends.
We have a group of friends (about 25) that meet every Friday and Saturday to see the different shows or musicals that are presented by Hilton.
Every Holiday is a reason for a special presentation at the Plaza. Christmas with the typical music; most of December. Mother's Day, Father's Day, An author presenting his or her book for the first time, cultural activities so our town people can learn about our culture; tribute to citizens for different achievements. The town Mayor also presents activities; so yes you guessed it, we have activities almost every week of the year. We always have a reason to celebrate something. And if not, just get together's with our friends of all or lives whom maybe we have not seen in a while. We celebrate each others Birthdays too.
No liquor is allowed. Politics or Religion is a non spoken subject. You can see children of all ages playing & walking around, safely. We have security 24/7 just for precaution.
Summer & Christmas is when we see our Plaza full of turists from all over the world. We love to make them feel welcome.
So come on over. Forget your troubles. Talk to your friends. Make new ones. Bring your comfortable folding chair. And have a great time!
