My daughter and I have wanted to stop at this place several times on our trips back and forth to Ohio. Today we did, and I wish we had'nt! We started out on a good feeling. The waitress was sweet as sugar and we ordered a blooming onion. It was very good as it was not over done. We also ordered the cod and chicken wings. The cod was good, but the wings were undercooked. I asked the waitress to take them back and get a new order for me, and when she showed it to the 'chef' (the kitchen is open and viewable by the occupants) he made a face as to say there was nothing wrong with them. I called her over and told her to cancel the order. As we sat there, I watched Nick the 'chef' put his fingers in his mouth several times and continue on with his food preparations. I could not believe what I was seeing and asked my daughter to turn around and watch him. Within seconds he repeated this action. My daughter became physically ill and ended up in the bathroom vomiting. She never could finish her meal. I asked to see 'Jodi' the manager. When she finally came over, I explained about the chicken and the 'chefs' reaction and then about how he was licking his fingers. I told her that my daughter was in the restroom losing what she had consumed of her meal. She stated that she would address the problem with Nick the 'chef' and would adjust our bill. She did go behind the counter to the kitchen and talked to Nick the 'chef', but he continued his food preps without once stopping to wash his contaminated hands. When I got the bill, there was no adjustment. I asked the waitress about it, and she said that Jodi the 'manager' had taken off the chicken wings. I replied that I would expect that since I did not even eat a morsel of it....she did not however adjust a thing for the meal that was not consumed due to the 'chefs' disgusting habit of licking his fingers, not to mention constantly wiping sweat from his forehead. I could be starving and would not go back there and have every intention of contacting the Health Dept. tomorrow. If you have any concerns about bodily fluids...stay away from that place!!!!!
