Best

My child loves going to the Bellevue Children's Museum. They have a good variety of hands on exhibits.

Worst

We have been a member for about 3-4 months now. On average i have taken my kids there once a week since. I'd agree with the most here that it gets way to crowded on the weekends....

Kids quest of factoria 8/31/2006

We have been a member for about 3-4 months now. On average i have taken my kids there once a week since. I'd agree with the most here that it gets way to crowded on the weekends. My kids have gotten burned out on it. The excitement of the learning exp has faded. They still have fun, but it's fun they would rather have a park. more

Crowded! $6 admission, but convenient location. 6/30/2006

KidsQuestMuseum has its pros and cons, I guess. I went on a Thursday (11:30pm-1:30pm) and this was my experience. PRO: Location. It's conveniently located off I-90 and I-405. Park by Mervyn's. They are inside the Factoria Mall, which has Old Navy and Target, so, Moms can leave the kids with Dad for awhile and get some alone time. Or, do a one time stop, shop, eat and play all without hopping back on the minivan! Science. I like the water area for the kids. Reminiscent of the stuff covered at the Pacific Science Center, you get both attractions covered in one place. CON: At first, I thought paying $6 for kids (1+) in addition to adult admission ($6) was too much, but compared to Children's Museum of Seattle ($7.50 kids 1+ and adults), I guess the admission is somewhat fair. But, it feels like you are getting half the attractions. I would look out for a coupon. I've seen it in a publication somewhere. I commented on the nice location, well the downside is SPACE, it felt cramped in there. For going on a weekday, it was way crowded! I did not have a good experience because I felt I was on top of the other people. BUT, I would go and give it a second chance - not totally rule it out. Go on a Friday between 5-8pm when it's free admission! ( http://www.kidsquestmuseum.org ) more

Great Kid spot on a HOT or RAINY SUMMER day! 5/23/2006

I don't know about you all but when the thermometer hits 85 or higher, I get hot! The last thing I want to do is go to a hot beach or an unshaded park. In the past I would take the kids to the mall, or the Pacific Science Center etc. But I know right where I'm going this summer on hot days...the Factoria Kid Quest Museum! It is SO great!!! I have a 19mo old and a 4 1/2 yr old and they both can run around and find activities for themselves that are age appropriate. I can actually sit down and relax and not worry that my kids are destroying anything or getting into trouble! Often we will bring a friend for my older one, so they can run around and explore together. An annual membership is only $60, and since it's $6/person to get in, that has paid itself off in droves! We try to go once a week and I bet on those hot and rainy summer days we will be there more than that! HELPFUL HINT: Go after 1:30 in the afternoon and on a weekday...it is CRAZY on weekends and in the mornings. Have fun! more

Kid's Quest Museum - Bellevue, WA 3/20/2006

I had a good opportunity to see the Kid's Quest museum. We were invited to an after-hours birthday party there. The museum was much better than I expected. They have a large, fun cause-and-effect water area. The kids wear smocks so they don't get soaking wet! There is a tree house for them to climb in, a really large train table, a puppet stage, a big cushioned pit for the babies to lay/crawl around in (hopefully, they clean the duvet covers now and then), face painting, a semi truck to explore, and more. They coordinated a very organized birthday party as well. It was probably one of the best, if not the best, party I'd been to at a business that has parties as one of their specialties. I will definitely be taking the kids back to that museum on a rainy day! more

Science rules here 3/18/2006

Opened less than a month ago, there are many new attractions and cool science projects for the kids. The gift shop is just as interesting as the museum, but this place is mostly orientated for the younger kids, around 8 years old. The cost of admission is $4 per kid. Right now, there is a up-to-scale structure of a big rig truck and interactive physics games more

Kid Quest 3/10/2006

I can see that you have almost too many choices but we have been going to the KidQuest museum in factoria (a short drive on 1-90) and they have rooms just for birthday parties. They have themes and projects and science, etc. It seems like the kids are always having a great time. This museum in general is really nice and new and has a huge water science room, a play room for toddlers and a "garage" section with a mac truck to play in and on. We like it. more
