I am a first-time buyer with a "baby credit". After really bad experience with another big (not Toyota) dealership, I went to Toyota of Lake City very suspicious and worried about everything. I had great experience with them despite all my fears! Our sales associate, Sean Kong, was very friendly and patient and answered all our questions and concerns professionally. He found the car I wanted pretty fast although they are not easy to find right now. The finance manager, Lap Nguyen, helped us to get good financing deal, so our monthly payments were even less than we expected. Everybody we dealt with were very professional and friendly. I am very happy with my experience at this dealership and my new little Yaris and I would definately recommend Toyota of Lake City to my friends! more

I got a price my insurace company USAA and was given AC's name as a contact. The price quoted by my USAA was well below invoice and the going market price according to Edmund's. I shopped around and got it for $250 less. They matched the price and the process went really smoothly, even with our two kids trying to run wild in the dealership. AC has continued to follow up with us, even two weeks after the deal was completed to make sure that we were happy. more

Very Positive Reflection 8/20/2010

My internet salesperson was Anthony Cason (AC). His Manager is Tim Smith. This was by far, the best car buying experience I have had dealing with these two individuals, but especially with AC. Why? Because it was a "no pressure, educational, your time is my time, we will go above and beyond to make you happy" type of experience. They say that car dealerships take advantage of women. I am an older lady who does her research and asked many questions to determine the accuracy of his knowledge. AC not only knows the Toyota cars. He has no problem working with his customers to insure their full understanding of every aspect that the two of you are involved in prior to even talking "purchase"...I loved that. This young man was respectful, patient and followed up on everything that he stated he would in a timley fashion. Actually, he was the reason I purchased the car in the end. I would recommend him to anyone and found the people at Toyota to be very diligent about servicing their customers. My experience was an excellent one. And not to overlook Ken Patterson, he worked with me the first day I visited the dealership and he too was a very positive reflection of Toyota of Bowie. Great place to buy a car because they are in the business of working to keep you as a returning customer. Nuff said! more

have a very old camry i take here on occasion, and they take good care of it. bob takes good care of me. he is patient and honest and extremely knowledgeable about cars. i can tell him about a noise and he makes a guess - that is usually spot on - about what's wrong. when the car's been checked out, he will tell me what needs to be fixed NOW [as in, it's a safety issue/hazard], what i needs to be done sooner rather than later/next time i come in, and what can wait or even be skipped b/c it's not an operation/safety issue or b/c the car's so old it's not worth it. i LOVE that, b/c i don't need some mechanic telling me i need to plunk down thousands of dollars every time i go in for a minor repair when i really don't. there have also been a couple of discrepancies with my bill or repair and bob is on it like white on rice to get everything resolved - never with any attitude and always with a friendly and thorough approach. his follow through is great, too. he will call back to make sure i'm happy with the service and/or that everything worked out okay. more

what we hoped for 8/17/2010

My husband and I recently bought a new Toyota Corolla and we decided to use the no-haggle car buying service through our credit union, USAA. Through the service we were assigned Kristin Schultz at the Bowie of Toyota dealership and we couldn't have asked for a better match. Kristin was very thorough going over all the details of the car with us, easy to talk to, and happy to answer our questions. When it came time to talk price, the numbers she showed us exactly matched with the price we expected based on our own research - no funny business or mysterious extra charges. We might not be good at haggling, but we are very good at research (I'm a CPA and my husband's a software engineer - can you get more detail oriented), so trust me when I say that we had done our research. Kristin never tried to push us or talk us into something other than what we wanted. She was exactly what we hoped for in a car dealer. And in the end, we felt very comfortable giving her our business. more
