Best yoga experience in Vegas. Follow the 8 limbs! 3/4/2010

If there is a better place to experience yoga on the West Coast, they must have gilded yoga mats. When I first stepped into Ki-Atsu, they surprised me by asking how I wanted to change my life, and little did I know at the time that they really would help me do that! Ki-Atsu is a full Yoga/Pilates/Ayurvedic/Massage school that also offers all of those services to the public in classes and private sessions. I have been fortunate enough to experience classes and privates in all of these and I will keep coming back again and again! This is not just a place to sweat through the Ashtanga primary series (which they will help you do very well with expert adjustments), but a place to ""grow your life"" as they say. This is the *only* place in Vegas that has the certified expertise and resources to actually help practice the eight limbs of yoga and be a new person. Yes I have lost the weight I wanted, but they also have helped me improve my practice tenfold and I feel more centered and in control of my daily life too. They sometimes have packages of yoga or Pilates with a massage, and since this is *the* place that has trained most of the high-caliber Vegas resort spas I hear, it is well worth it! The resort spas offer ashiatsu based on Ki-Atsu's bodywork method, and there is none better. You don't believe the enthusiastic gushing of a very satisfied customer? I seriously doubt anyone else in the state offers everything this place does under one roof, so it's worth a try! Pros: No gym mentality. Warm, inviting, spiritual, professional. Cons: Be sure to check for schedule changes/new classes more

Horrible place for yoga 9/18/2008

I took one yoga class here and will never return. The first thing that turned me off is it's in a very out of the way location near Anthem. I live in Green Valley and with Eastern Ave. traffic it took forever to get there. The class I took was in the evening so I got entangled with lots of after work traffic on Eastern. Only a handful of students attended the class which was good because the classroom was small and dark. The instructor was personable and very friendly but unfortunately he was awfully inexperienced. (I'm spoiled because I moved from Orange County in California where the teachers and studios are amazing.) There wasn't much energy in the class so I was happy when it was finally over. This place also had a strange vibe, more of a pilates or exercise studio than a yoga center. I would not recommend this place if you're looking for good yoga instruction. Cons: bad location, inexperienced teacher, small classroom more

Great Energy! 9/17/2008

This place has great energy, plus the pilates and yoga instructors are really quite knowledgeable. :-) Pros: Classes are just 10 bucks each when you get 20. Sometimes it feels like you're getting private instruction if class is small. more
