Ken Holsworth and his crew have done an excellent job clearing downed trees due to November, 2010, storm damage. He's very careful with his works and clears the area cleanly at the end of the job. I own a 5 acre property in Alta, CA with plenty of white pine, cedar, dog wood, a few oaks and other trees. I contracted Ken's Tree Service to first clear a 100' perimeter to create a fire-safe zone around my home. Ken cleared all low brush and cut low hanging braches and made the place look really great! One week later when the local fire marshal visited, he gave us an A+ rating and was very complimentary of how well the property looked. What a great third-party affirmation - -I passed this review along to Ken's Tree Service with my thanks. A month later I hired Ken's Tree Service again for another week to clear out and trim the trees further down our slope. Ken worked both weeks completely independently while I was at work. He we very trust worthy and responsible. He kept his appointments and was honest about not only what he could and would do, but also what he would not be able to do. This made for a very clear communications and set expectations appropriately. I could not be happier with Kenâ??s service and my property really looks great now. I called Ken on a Monday, he was out the next day. He took down a dead tree and a awful bush in my backyard within an hour and then cleaned up the mess along with some other misc. pine needles and branches I had laying around. Ken responded to my email request with a day, came to my house to give me an estimate the following day, and completed the work in under a week. I greatly appreciated his timeliness. But, even more important, he trimmed my unruly oak trees so that they no longer encroach on the cedars and pines or on one another, removing dead branches and all branches that criss crossed anything else. He scaled my 50' cedar to check on the stability of its top. When he was finished, all cuttings had been removed and the trees stood healthy and majestic. I was very pleased. more

Ken's Tree Service was referred to me by a couple of people and it turned out that Ken also knew some people in my family. I have used their service twice now and been incredibly pleased. They are prompt, efficient, and clean. I used them for a major project involving 5 large pines and an oak tree in the middle of a deck. Ken's Tree Service was recommended by a friend of mine. I had a good experience with them. Both Ken and his helper were meticulous. They cleaned out a bunch of dead branches from about 35 trees in our yard. We have a lot of landscaping under the trees and I do not think I found any broken branches of the existing plants. They were thorough, conscientious, and cared about the trees, which was important to me. They also cared about the surrounding area and landscaping.
