Kenhaven Animal Hospital was established in 1956 in the Kensington area, thus the name, Kenhaven. The hospital was moved to Rockville, MD in 1971. We have proudly served Montgomery County, MD, and its adjacent areas, while working closely with the Montgomery County Humane Society and several rescue groups (i.e. PetConnect and Roxy's Fund to name a couple). Services We Provide: Separate Waiting Rooms for Dogs and Cats Examinations, Consultations, Preventative Medicine and Geriatric Care Diagnostics and Therapeutic Services To provide optimal care for your pets, we equip our hospital with state-of-the-art technology. A Variety of Surgical Procedures We provide a clean, modern surgical suite with all of the latest equipment and surgical materials. Anesthesia We use isoflurane and sevoflurane anesthesia for all of our patients to provide the utmost safety. Patients' vital signs are constantly monitored with our modern pulse oximetry equipment. Dental Services Dental services include teeth cleaning, polishing, fluoride treatment, teeth extractions, and oral surgery. Early Drop-Off Emergency Care We see patients on an appointment basis, but emergency appointments are available same-day upon request. Digital Radiology Our new on-site digital X-ray equipment provides excellent quality images with finer details to diagnose your pet's health issues. Consultations with board-certified radiologists are also available. Electrocardiogram Availability of Specialists Laboratory Services We use Antech and Idexx diagnostics labs, their consultation services, and our own diagnostic lab to provide in-depth serum chemistry profiles, hematology profiles, serology profiles, biopsies, parasite testing, urine testing, and cytology services. Complete Pharmacy We maintain a well-stocked pharmacy for your pet's needs including flea and tick products, heartworm preventative medicines, and the best prices available on the market. Dietary Counseling We provide counseling for new, well researched pet foods including prescription foods for specific ailments. Counseling on Pet Selection, Breeding, and Nutrition Boarding We provide boarding facilities for all of our valued clients, separate runs, and outdoor walking is available upon request. All pets must be current on vaccinations. Professional Cat & Dog Grooming We have professional groomers for all breeds of dogs and cats. The groomers are extensively trained and have a very satisfied customer base from the past 20 years. Pet Toys and Accessories Services Details The fee structure for services at our hospital is based on the financial demands of maintaining a professional staff, modern facilities, supplies, and equipment costs.
