KVM always does an honest job. They don't waste pretty words and nonsense or blow smoke up your **** to wow you. They've rescued my car several times, last minute, fixing other mechanic's shoddy work, working extra at no charge, because to quote Brian, "it was the right thing to do." Not your typical auto shop policy. I'm not saying they're perfect, because no one is. But they try very hard, more than 99% of the shops out there. But that's how they operate. So I'm guessing that the negative reviews are probably stemming from something that was already wrong with a vehicle and being blamed on KVM. \r \r I was referred to Kempton's by a guy that you would trust if you asked him where you should take your machine to be repaired. I also come from a long line of master mechanics, but never really got in to the trade myself. I can tell you that I have taken my cars to a few different mechanics, and almost always been screwed over. KVM was amazing. Brian, and the rest of the mechanics are super knowledgeable. I was having problems with my VW golf, which is kind of a hoopty to begin with. They treated my car like it was a brand new car, and when they were done with the repairs, it drove like one! Brian was upfront with me about prices, and what needed to be repaired. He also mentioned some optional repairs that would be good for my vehicle, but didn't try to force them down my throat, and made sure I knew they were optional! I will never take any o more

Every time I take my truck to KVM its worth it.\r \r As far as the other people who are not satisfied with them, please take your business elsewhere and see how much more your bill is going to be and how much longer the repair facility will keep your car. Prices are fair and the mechanics at KVM are extremely knowledgeable. If you're unsatisfied because you took your car to a mechanic, being a mechanic - they should have charged you more for thinking you know what you're doing, when you don't! Move on and maybe you should just stick to working on big jets. more

Hello, and thank you for reading this review. I just want to give you a quick heads up on my background. I have worked as a car mechanic for years, I use to fix aircraft and now I work as a jet engine mechanic at the airport.\r I usually do most of my car repairs myself but lately I do not have access to a garage and all my tools are unavailable, so I am forced to take my vehicle to a mechanic shop. So my girlfriend recommended KVM shop since she had really good experience and they always take a really good care of her car. I unfortunately can not confirm that. I actually had the opposite experience. So here is my story...\r I took my car in to get front struts and rear shocks replaced. I drooped of the car and picked it up later in the afternoon. So fast service and very competitive prices. Here is were things went wrong so after driving around for about a week the front suspension started to make a loud rattle while driving over bumps. I have taken my last 3 cars to KVM for service and repairs. I have been so satisfied with the service that I have received from them and refer anybody I know to them. They provide quick, reliable service at a fraction of the cost of the larger shops. I generally get my oil changed at a shop closer to my home and the repairs and costs that they suggest are way above what I am able to maintain. I trust KVM (Brian) fully and completely with any repairs he suggests. more

I had all my vehicle services done at KVM for the past few years after having an engine replaced in my vehicle by them. Even though the service was incredibly slow I had continued to return because a friend had recommended them and I thought they were trustworthy. Recently though when I needed service, after my car failed DEQ, I was unable to get anyone to answer the phone at KVM so I went to the shop I had used several years back when I lived in another town. What they found was completely disturbing and made me decide to never return or recommend KVM to anyone. Not only did I have the DEQ issues but I had a severe oil leak resulting from a broken bolt that had been siliconed into the engine KVM put in to appear there was nothing wrong with it. KVM had to have known about the oil leak as well as the bolt since they had been the only ones working on my car. Very trustworthy service provided. This mechanic was recommended by friends a number of years ago. We've never looked back! Our families now take all their vehicles there too. Brian is above board on all repairs that are done. He won't make unnecessary repairs or suggest service that is outrageously priced.\r Very reliable. more
