What a mistake we made shopping here!!! 11/30/2011

\r OMG! My wife & I got married this year (2011). We bought our engagement & wedding rings at Kay Jewelers & we wouldn't go back there if they were giving away their jewelry for free; what an un-believable hassle we had! My wife was crying in the store when they messed up both of our wedding rings, (hers & mine). To start with we were sold a previously owned diamond engagement ring, (unknown to me at the time) from Kay Jewelers at Great Lakes Crossing Mall in Auburn Hills, Michigan. I had NO IDEA it was previously owned & found that out later. We then bought our wedding rings at the Kay Jewelers in the Genesee Valley Mall store in Flint, Michigan. The problems we had were: The mans wedding ring I ordered & put money down on came back with SMALLER diamonds then what I had ordered. They didn't even tell us! We noticed it just by looking at the ring when we picked it up! They gave us a three quarter karat instead of a one karat! They told us we could buy the one karat for about another $800.00. (WHICH IS WHAT I ALREADY ORDERED & PUT MONEY DOWN ON! - Kay says we didn't.) We talked with a sales person and the manager for at least 10 minutes while they checked to see if they could get the ring in gold and one karat. They said it came in gold and a one karat. Both of them said how beautiful the ring will look as a one karat. We were then told that the ring doesn't come in a one karat so I was stuck with that ring since it was so close to our wedding. My wifes wedding ring came in after my ring came in. Her wedding ring is a ring guard, the engagement ring slides into the ring guard, it was not done as we ordered it either! The engagement ring & wedding bands were separated far apart & they were supposed to be soldered close together. We had to have them do her ring over again. My wife was crying in the store & I was too! We were so terribly upset from coming here. There are no words I can write to describe it besides us being heartbroken! We hate to even walk by the store now. We were also treated very rudely by the woman working at the store & we even thought about calling mall security on her. When we had to go back in about our rings there was someone else there who was also very upset about their rings and said they would never come back. We told them to ""get in line!"" What a terrible mistake we made coming here!!! If you go to Kays we suggest taping every word that is said on video & getting everything in writing that states every single little detail. Good luck.\r \r more
