Love this rescue! What a wonderful charity! 1/21/2009

My fiance and I got involved with Karma Rescue over the holidays and it has proven to be the best Christmas present ever! Because we aren't allowed to have dogs where we live (discrimination!), we opted for the Guardian Angel program which allows us the chance to be a ""Big Brother & Sister"" to one dog at a time until s/he gets adopted into a permanent home. So far we have mentored 3 dogs -- each time one gets adopted, we get to spend time and bond with another one! We go on weekends and during the week whenever possible, depending on the location of the dog. (There isn't just one shelter; instead, the dogs are placed in good facilities where there is room for them.) Rande is the driving force behind the charity and her commitment is truly inspiring. It makes us want to continue this work and ultimately move into a place where we can have pets and foster animals. Pros: Commitment to animals; all funds go directly to the dogs Cons: We cant adopt them all! more
