We just returned from a ski trip in Taos. This was our second stay at the Kachina Lodge and we had a wonderful stay. I love the spaciousness of the rooms. You get a free sit down full breakfast daily at the coffee shop, great french toast and pancakes with such friendly service from Ramona. In the evening after 5pm you get a free cocktail. After a full day of skiing we would relax in the jacuzzi. This is where we will definately stay the next time we're in Taos, what a great deal..... more

We'll be back 3/25/2011

This was our 1st stay at the Kachina Lodge. Their prices were reasonable, the room was clean & everything was functional. Personnel were courteous & amenities included a hot tub, swimming pool & a wonderful outdoor evening Taos pueblo native dance group, a real treat. We'll be back. more

Stayed here on a roadtrip with my kids. I felt very comfortable with them playing in the room. They upgraded our family to a kitchen suite.....it was huge. It was super clean. I have never seen bathrooms that clean before. I wish all hotels were this clean more

As a business traveler I was in late and out early in the morning. Appreciated front desk clerks knowledge and professionalism. Great breakfast in their Coffee Shop. Clean Room, Comfortable bed! more

My stay was wonderful at the Kachina Lodge. Its in walking distance to the plaza which is convenient. For the price, it was great! I shopped around and this was the best deal overall. I would definitely stay there again. more

I just stayed at the Kachina lodge with my family after it being recommended to me by a local. The staff was very friendly and rooms were clean. They hadan on site cafe with good food. would recomend it to friends :) more

Staff was friendly 1/21/2011

Just ended a three night stay at Kachina Lodge in Taos and we'll be going back there. Staff was friendly, it's close to all the shopping and restaurants in Taos and only 30min drive to skiing. Michaels diner across the street is another alternative. Manager let us check out a day early due to blizzard moving into area. Front desk personel were friendly and maid was friendly - gave us extra towels/shampoo. Had a nice time at Kachina and look forward to our next trip to Taos. more

A great bargain! 1/19/2011

The place has every Southwest look in the old adobe casita style. The bed was extra comfortable and the room was quiet. Good food in the coffee shop and restaurant. A great bargain! more

We were delighted to find a hotel that is unique, historical, and quite wonderful. Hundreds of works of art on the walls from the dining room to the lobby to the hallways. Amazing more

This hotel had been recommended by my new in-laws as the place for family coming in from out of town for our son and daughter's wedding on Saturday, the 29th, but after reading some of these reviews, "family" declined the recommendation. However, I (mother of the groom) came into town a week early and went to see the three rooms I'd reserved for my family elsewhere and was terribly disappointed, so went to the Katchina to see for myself. Cheryl, the hospitality manager, was extremely gracious and accommodating and chose lovely rooms for us at a very good price, especially given the late date. The rest of the staff was so friendly, and remembered not only our names, but the bride's and groom's as well. The rooms were large, clean and well kept; if there is any truth to the unfavorable reviews below, we didn't see it. Our experience was memorable, and I would recommend the Katchina to anyone wanting a taste of old Taos, an excellent location, and friendly, personable staff. more
