First of all, in my experience KOA Kampgrounds are supposed to be very nice. Well, I don't know how the KOA corporation still allows this campground to be a part of their corporation. The tent sites were small. The grass (weeds) were not mowed. The swimming pool was just that, a pool...surrounded by a chain link fence, surrounded by more weeds. The bathroom shower facilities require a code to enter, which did not work part of the time. The timer on the lights in the bathroom shower facilities was not good, as I ended up showering in the pitch black when the lights turned off while still in the shower. The KOA directory states "This friendly "make-yourself-at-home" attitude prevails throught the campground owned by the same family for more than 20 years." Two things about that statement: (1) Friendly is not in their vocabulary. (2) I think they have owned and run this place for 20 years too long and should get out of the business. The whole ambience of the place just ruined our camping trip unfortunately. Even the kids complained about it!!! So try another campground in the area; there are plenty. I was going by KOA's reputation. In this case I shouldn't have.
