Food and service are good but way to expensive for what you get! Can get same service and food for a much cheaper price! more

My husband and I frequent Justin's as often as possible. We have visited for dinner for two and had as many as 6 others to join us. The wait staff is unsurpassed in our area, very knowledgable and professional while still being very personable. The food is better than any I have tried at any upstate restaurant (foot note - I used to be a huge fan of Soby's, however over the years their food and service has suffered to the extent that we no longer go there - ever). The service is not at all rushed and for the first time in a long time, I have not had my entree served to me while still eating a salad or appetizer. This is one of my definitions for exceptional service (why do so many other establishments struggle with this so?). I found the prices to be very reasonable for the quality of food that is served - unlike so many others recently opened in our upstate area. We always are treated like family and have even had the opportunity to try new menu items before they make it to the menu! Do try the Scallops Dijon - the best and one of our "try out" items, we order it everytime as an appetizer. The salads are great, the sides outstanding and the steaks and fish are exceptional. The wine list is vast and reasonably priced. If you're not sure which to order, ask your server, they really know their stuff. I consider myself a well-traveled person, am in New York City and New Jersey quite a bit for work and I have yet to find a restaurant as lovely as Justin's. The atmosphere is relaxed and the decor is inviting. You won't be sorry going here for anything from a business meeting to a lovely dinner for two. Pros: EVERYTHING! Best service, best quality of food in our whole upstate area. Cons: Honestly can't think of any, unless they start to get too busy and we have a hard time getting a reservation! more

I hosted a business dinner at Justin's Steakhouse in Greer on March 12, 2008. The service was very good and the food was outstanding. Being a week night (Wednesday) it was not crowded or too loud to carry on a conversation. I thought it was an excellent atmosphere for an initial meeting with a prospective customer. The menu is varied with a good selection of dishes. Personally, I choose the Ahi Tuna while my three guests each had steaks. All commented on how good the food was. Being a little slower that night, the waiter paid us a great deal of attention but never imposed on our conversation. I am hosting another business dinner there tonight (March 26) and am looking forward to it. This time I will try the steaks! ________________ I did visit Justin's in Greer, SC again last night (03.26.08) along with two business associates. We had an excellent meal. The food was as good as my first visit and the service was as well. Last night I enjoyed one of the best steaks (Kansas City Strip) that I have had in a long time. It was an excellent cut of meat and was cooked perfectly (medium). Pros: Great food, great service, good price Cons: None that are noteworthy more

We went with a large group, and service was a little off. The food was good, but I think a little overpriced. (again this was a large group, and we had trouble keeping drinks filled and food got cold due to the timing being a little off). the atmosphere is beautiful. Again, the service may be better with dinner for two, but I do not feel that the food was worth the price. (I do tend to be a little picky- I like my food HOT when it gets to me, not room temp. and I want my waiter to check with me to make sure everything is good before I get 3/4 of the way through my plate). We may try it again sometime, since they did make an effort to accommodate our misgivings. I hope that this was a learning experience for them, because Spartanburg could really use more fine dining establishments. I wish them the best.
