Joy's Spa and Nail Salon

Just moving to the area my first order of business after getting settled in was to find a good spot for my regular manicure and pedicures. Did a local search and there you were "judysbook reviews". I followed up on a few review of www.joysnails.com and to my delight the place was everything I'd hoped for. The atmosphere reminded me a bit of Hawaii and that was a nice start to a very good experience. The conversation was as plesant as the signature mani/pedi I got. When they advertise "Family owned and operated, they were'nt kidding, while I was there the grandson stopped by with his mommy for a visit with Joy! I've fallin in love with this place already. Once settled into the pedicure chair I was offered a soft drink or tea. The spa was busier than I'd of imagined being on the second floor, but I guess to the locals it's somewhat of a private oasis nestled in the heart of Adams Morgan. What topped off the pedicure was a hot rock leg massage, great! Then off to the manicure...the entire treatment took about 1 1/2 to 2 hours and I was very impressed with the whole operation. Good music, very professional experienced family shop, I'll definitely be booking regular appointments. So this is a big thumbs up review. Oh, afterwards, you've got about 25 restaurants right on the same street! more

Just returned from an appointment to have a manicure and pedicure, a gift form my wife, a treat that I've never experienced before. The shop, Joy's Spa is located right in the heart of the restaurant district in Adams Morgan on the second floor above the Asylum Lounge. What a wonderful experience, after what seemed like resting in the lap of luxury during the treatment I got into a conversation with the owners "Joy" son Reggie, and as it turns out he does message tratments and his sister does facials, so I went ahead an had a great massage. I put this down as a must do for myself! Many Thanks to the wonderful staff at Joys Nails for making my first trip to the Spa such a rewarding event.
