I am a local band director in the area and I feel it is extremely important that I finally say something about this business. Many students from my school use JAM for instrument repairs, purchases, and lessons. I have to say that every single instrument that comes into my building from them is complete garbage. They are off-brands that are unheard of and my students keep getting them because they are cheap. People, you get what you pay for! When I send these instruments to reputable repair shops, they won't even work on them because the cheap materials used to make these instruments crumble under the high heat repair process. The average lifespan of these instruments is a few months at best. I am not a typical internet complainer, but it is affecting my program. I have had multiple concerts and other performances affected due to the unreliability of these instruments. It is so bad, I only made the account on here just to write this review! Just today, I received a clarinet from a students that had some minor repairs this past weekend. The instrument came back completely unplayable with bent keys and the instrument worked before it went in. This would not go unnoticed from a reputable business. JAM needs to step up their quality or get out of town. My students need reliable instruments. If you're thinking of buying your child an instrument stick to popular brands and do your homework!
