This home furnishings store is located on Galena's East side, at Route 20 and Bouthillier Street, just down the street from the Grant house historic site. Away from all the tourist bustle of Main Street, this store is an oasis of good taste and beautiful things. The store rambles through several rooms offering different vignettes in each space. Antiques from Asian to American and everything in between are mixed in with the new. The emphasis is on quality; no junky throw away furniture here! The shop also stocks wallpaper and fabrics from top designers such as Ralph Lauren, Tricia Guild, Nina Campbell among others. To further inspire you, there's always an assortment of great design books on interiors, architecture, gardening, etc. \r
We especially like the fine bed linens and wonderful towels. Unlike traditional furniture stores that sell ""wall decor"", this place sells fine art by local and regional artists at prices from moderate to expensive.\r
Be sure to check out their lamps, they have a wide assortment of lamps made from found objects to restrained favorites.\r
Even if you're just visiting town, this is a must stop for inspiration and you can always find something like a candle by designer Jonathan Adler to walk out the store with you. The store has a parking lot, although small, on the Bouthillier side, so weekend parking is not a problem.
