Jonathan Richards, Ltd. has been our design firm for over 20 years. In our experience, he provides the highest degree of design expertise and service coupled with consumate professionalism and integrity. Jonathan has an extraordinary eye for scale, color, furniture and all of the design elements that create an inviting beautiful home. He is very knowledgeable about furniture and antiques. He is comfortable with diverse styles ranging from traditional to contemporary and all in between. He has worked with us on five homes- three in Boston, one in Philadelphia and one in Memphis. All homes offered different design challenges, but Jonathan always exceeded our expectations. Our working with a designer long distance proved easy thanks to his diligence, skill and creativity. My husband has said many times, Jon has saved us a great deal of money by steering us away from decorating mishaps. Jon is always great to work with and his knowledge inspires confidence. My husband and I were having a rough time deciding how to furnish our condo and then we met Jonathan Diamond. He took the time to really get to know us. By careful interviewing and gentle guidance, he helped us discover what we really liked and made us comfortable. I guess you could say he helped us find our own personal style. We have had the true pleasure of working with Jonathan Diamond of Jonathan Richards, Ltd, for twenty years. We started with a small apartment and now have a 7,500sf Victorian home for which Jonathan has done all the interior design and provided nearly all the furniture, carpets, and accessories?all of it exquisite. In fact, there is not one corner of our home that has not benefited from his expertise. He has a wonderful sense of balance and proportion. As clients, we can be difficult to please. Jonathan has always been tireless in bringing us a range of options and working with us to narrow the choices, whether for a major piece of furniture or simply a fabric for a throw pillow (not infrequently we end up selecting what he brought us in the first place). Further, he understands quality but, at the same time, has never hesitated to steer us away from purchases that are unnecessarily expensive.
