Best

Don't just look at the negative reviews on this page! Take my word for it..this place is great! I love the food there! Try the Mediterranean Chicken Salad or the Green Chile Chick...

Worst

Decent, not worth the money. Very chain like and uneventful. Pros: Decent food Cons: Nothing special

Definitely Not the Most Romantic 5/3/2007

This is not the most romantic restaurant in Albuquerque. I don't know where they (meaning City Search) got their results but if you are looking for a special occasion place this is not it. Albuquerque has much better locally owned places. more

LOOK!! 6/17/2004

Don't just look at the negative reviews on this page! Take my word for it..this place is great! I love the food there! Try the Mediterranean Chicken Salad or the Green Chile Chicken Lasagne or the Penne Gorgonzola. Also there are other locations in West Texas and I hear Arizona is coming soon!! Already there is 3 other locations in New Mexico. Check out the location in Los Lunas, Farmington, or Las Cruces. I love this food! I just hope everyone will try it for themselves! Pros: Romantic, Quality Food, Quality Service more

Decent, not worth the money. Very chain like and uneventful. Pros: Decent food Cons: Nothing special more

You must be kidding! 12/16/2002

Albuquerque may not be a culinary mecca but it still has loads of restaurants that outperform this bland chef boyardeeesque version of Italian food. Outdoor dining? If you enjoy sitting outside enjoying the view of a parking lot framed by one by the busiest stripmall lined streets in this dirty dusty city which happens to lie on the edge of natural splendor then this is your place. I can think of many more picturesque locations even in this dust bowl! Pros: attractive building, pleasant decor, restrooms Cons: boring, canned flavor, over priced more

veal is the deal 11/30/2002

try the veal parm delicious and prepared when ordered, this dish must also pass the standard of the manger on duty, i waited about 45 minutes for my veal, but found out manager sent it back, not up to standards, rec'd free dessert. 2 forks up. Pros: fast service, friendly, great value more

No Way! 11/21/2002

Chain restaurant with just ""OK"" food. Servive standards are average-just not a romantic, special occasion type place Pros: Price Cons: service, food quality more

Johnny Ca-who? 11/14/2002

Nothing against Johnny Carino't. I think it is a good chain. But there is no way it can top any list in Albuquerque with the abundance of great resaurants that we have. Pros: consistent, affordable, clean Cons: regular more

save your money and go somewhere else! 10/19/2002

How can you say this place is romantic - good grief - if you want romance on a budget - I guess it fits. If you want romance save your money and go elsewhere!! more

Johnnys 10/7/2002

So Johnny Carino's? I think not. Restaurants like this one are a dime a dozen. Authentic, not really. Basically a more expensive Olive Garden that spices entrees enough to ruin them. Good Idea? No, been there, done that. Let this corporate restaurant make its money and leave. Be glad you didn't go there. Pros: decor, bar Cons: food, price more

Let's eat 10/3/2002

I did not find this restaurant to be romantic. It does have a nice atmosphere, but the food at Olive Garden is better when comparing Italian restaurants. Pros: adequate pricing, delicious desserts Cons: Low quality food, employees standing more

Just a typical Italian Chain 10/3/2002

I wouldn't say that JC's was the most romantic place in the Duke City. There are places, such as the Indigo Crow and Casa Vieja in Corrales that are a romantic get away from this city. Plus the food there is the chef's original style and it is seasonal too. While JC's is nice to go to when you crave italian over Olive Garden or Carrabas, I cast my vote to the local ""hole's in the wall"" for romantic wining and dining. And the prices are about the same for lunch or dinner. Pros: Good Parking, Good Appetizers, Nice Kitchen Cons: Crowded, Noisey, Too "everyday" more

Poor Excuse for Italian Food 9/25/2002

I myself come from NY and an Italian and this restaurant was far from being good in my opinion. I didnt like the sauce and the cheese in my manicotti was just not right. They need to get some tips from Mario's!!! more

pizza for the pip-squeeks 8/27/2002

Johhny Carino's Italian Kitchen has great food. We Have had company in from Minnesota and they truly loved everything about this establishment. They are waiting and drooling over the possible opening of a Johnny Carino's in their area. The kids LOVED the pizza! I love a place I can go and eat what I want while the kids really enjoy their food too! That makes for a truly enjoyable eating experience. more

YUMMY! :) 7/30/2002

Carino's has very good food, plus can be a romantic place to eat. more
